I’ve tried searching and couldn’t find anything, what are you guys doing as far as seat covers for dogs and such to ride?   My dog loves to ride but I’m a bit hesitant to throw her in my SLT and end up with scratched up interior and leather.  I’ve seen some on Amazon that would pretty much cover everything in the back seat, but I wanted to hear your opinions.  Thanks!

I use and really like the 4knines hammock seat cover. Instead of having the hammock part attach to the front seats I tuck it under and clip it to the bottom of the seat so that can still fold the seat up when needed. Doing that makes it much easier to vaccum out the dog hair weekly and also keeps the dog hair from sticking to carpet under the seat. I've had it for a year and so far is holding up great.

For the front seats i use the carhart seat covers.

I've been wondering about doing exactly what you have done.  It is working out well?

I love the hammock idea, but my dogs are too big to be loading in every time by hand bombing them in, and jumping that high from the ground themselves they could do but i'm sure the truck would end up with some scratches after a while going that path.  I might have to try what you have done.  I'm assuming they have the ability to walk around freely on the floor and seats then from how you are describing it?

Yes they can walk around freely, and it has worked out great. When you need the cover off for people you can just unhook it from the headrests and fold everything under the seat. I have another picture showing how it attached to the bottom of the seat frame but the file size is too large. If you dm me your email I can send that to you as well.

That shows me exactly what I was wondering and you having done it proves to me it works.  Thanks for the pictures.  I always see the hammock used how its normally to be used and that just doesn't work unless you have smaller dogs.

full back seat cover like many others posted here, I also picked up a set of door protectors from weathertech. the cocoa color matches my dark walnut pretty well. they work great for a doggy who likes to put her paws on the armrests to look out the window. She has also given me a reason to use the passenger's window disable button for the first time in my life!

one thing with the weather tech, they work very well but since the windows (crew cab) go all the way down it tends to pull the protector up when you put the windows back up. its fine as long as you don't lower the windows in the back completely. I need to find a solution for that.

I looked at those door protectors but I don't think they will work with my double cab. Windows 17" wide and the door protector is 22"

    • Looking up on the web you can the information that would seem obvious. You asked engine components to do more. You get more wear. The answer is they can last just as long but required more maintenance. Apparently having to change lifters, cam and associated components are maintenance or repairs. In some research the normal life span of valve train components are 80-100 miles with 3-5K miles oil change. So the next logical conclusion would be cost per mile. I use that analogy with my wife all the time with vehicles. My Odyssey is approaching 170K. The cost per mile will go up at 200K with maintenance. Looking at a low cost car. A K-4 with a 10-10 warranty. Selling my Ridgeline that’s about to hit the same maintenance milestone. My argument becomes not only I get worry free driving. But at no cost increases. Because I take the money from my Ridgeline and maintenance savings and other potential savings. I’m driving for free. So tying it with a bow. It makes you wonder. Is this a grand conspiracy by the auto makers? Raise the potential maintenance high enough. Buyers by extended warranty to 100K miles. Do the minimum maintenance required. Trade in at the warranty end. How long should they last? That question is what keeps people up at night. The answer is much more complicated than it used to be.
    • Could you cite your source on this?  I cannot find any reference to the US secretly taking the oil.  I find references that the US helped oil tankers move through the Strait of Hormuz, but nothing about what you're stating.
    • Same thought, also the everything doesn't have the details real photos do (talking about the noise in the photo)
    • Since the media YOU and your buddies are programmed to watch failed to mention this, I'll fill you in.   Trump admitted today that we've grabbed 150 MILLION barrels of oil from the Iranian tankers locked in the Strait by our Navy. We turned off their transponders, took them out to sea in the dark of night since they have zero radar capabilities anymore, offloaded every drop onto another vessel, and put them back by morning so no one was the wiser. That oil has been en-route THROUGHOUT the entire conflict.   Main reason he admitted this is to let even guys on our own side who joined leftists in complaining about the prices that he hears us all, and has taken steps to make sure this didn't spiral into a BAD situation ... just like the mainstream media has been PRAYING would happen, just so they could gloat. Amazes me how these people are rooting for the destruction of THEIR OWN HOME, just to make a President they don't agree with or like look bad! That's next level TDS!   I know your not capable of giving our President the benefit of the doubt, again due to your deep programming, but THIS is why oil never hit $150 a barrel as predicted by your programmers, AND the reason oil continues falling. Like I said before, Trump's got a plan, and this is proof of it. By the end of his term, we're going to be in GREAT shape for a change!   Since I just spent $3,000 this week on #2 heating oil and gasoline, the war most certainly is ending! 🤣   https://mxmnews.com/article/ba359ac9-2711-4851-92de-187f2400f2dd?breaking-trump-cancels-iran-strikes-deal-now-approved-by-all-parties
    • No leaks. Replaced the condenser 3 years ago. Problem was found to be caused by the A/C blend door actuator. Just replaced it and it's blowing out the cold air it used to when I bought it.
