Hose hanging near transfer case

Was wondering if anyone knows if this hose (p/n GM6150M)  is supposed to be attached to the circled nipple on the transfer case in the picture or is it supposed to hang down? 2020 LT Trail Boss 6.2L.

Thank you.  By the way this is the view from drivers side of transfer case. Hose is coming from the front, possibly to the transmission?

Does that answer your question? It’s hooked up on my 6.2 trail boss custom.

Wow, thank you. That does answer. Weird that mine is disconnected. Searching for the part number it shows that hose is the transmission case emission evap vent tube.  Thought it would be normal to be hanging as it is a vent hose.  But it made me suspicious when I saw the nipple on the transfer case with nothing attached!

Where does the other end of the hose go when connected properly.

A slip-on hose with no clamp, towards the top of the transmission, is most likely a vent tube...

Can’t see the other end but it looks like it goes forward and up towards transmission

For my '04, the TC vent tube goes from the port to the middle-top mounting bolt of the transmission, with a venting plug in the hose there...

That’s what I figured but can’t see exactly where it goes into on the other end.  So yours is plugged into the TC as well?
