How much can I lift my 2020 sierra 4x4 crew cab diesel without voiding my warranty? Also would an aftermarket grill guard affect warranty ? And has anyone found a manufacturer who makes camper shells for my 6ft 9inch bed with multi pro tailgate? Im worried my work tools will be stolen.

Anything you do aftermarket to your suspension, that is not a GM part, will void the warranty if they can attribute the part to the failure.  No, a grill will not void your warranty.  As for camper shells, no clue.  Not sure what kind of work tools you keep in your truck, or how big they are.

No lift technically.  You can install a lift if you want however keep in mind, if the lift can be proven that is caused something to fail that is factory to the truck, you may be denied warranty.  So if the diff fails, trans fails, steering gearbox fails under bumper to bumper, the lift can block you from warranty repair.

All the major cap companies make caps for these trucks so you should have no issue there.

Grille guards would only affect warranty on something like a front parking sensor as they have to be re-located to the bumper bar to function properly.  So if you had factory park sensors up front and a sensor failed but it was a wiring harness issue, you might get shot down because of the bumper guard.

I would say no more than 2", as that is the factory lift height for GMC AT4's.

OP has an HD but posted in the 1/2 ton section.  AT4 HD doesn't get the 2 inch lift like the 1/2 ton.

If you don't use the GM lift and have the GM dealer install it, almost all GM dealers today (unless your father or brother-in-law owns the dealership) would unfortunately use that as an excuse to say you have NO WARRANTY anymore.

So 1.9" is safe? The correct answer is 0" as noted by others in this thread unless the GM level is installed by GM.

Thanks guys I really appreciate the feedback. As for caps I built an A.R.E. on their site and my local distributer sent me back a quote just shy of $5000. Installation not included. Leer has not even e-mailed me back, so I thought they didnt make one to fit the new 2020 beds yet. Rumer is A.R.E. is the only one. Oh tried snugtop also , and received no bid.?? I work construction in northern cali. And like to carry , not only tools, but also expensive fishing equipment. (you never know when you might happen upon great fishing) Anyway a shell is the only way for my lifestyle. keep me posted.
