Just did a 2200 mile round trip from New Hampshire to North Carolina round trip  with my 2020 trail boss 5.3. I put a factory front air dam on for the trip since these trucks are awful on the highway to see if it would help and I was surprised to average 18.8 mpg overall and at one point had my 50 mile average to 24.8 mpg at one point in Virginia with driving a lot at 80-85 mph. So the air dam is definitely worth something g

I put one on mine and even with a level, 34" tires and only 2500 miles on the 6.2 I am getting 23-24 MPG @ 60-65MPH. I like the look of it better too.

Man I run up and down 41 from Milwaukee to Green Bay, cruise set at 78 and the best I can get is 18. That’s a stock 21 RST 6.2 10 speed with the car tires on it. Got 3600 miles, maybe needs to break in more.

Can you guys provide some pics?  I would definitely go this route to save some MPG's!

Look at any non Trail boss and you'll see the air dam.  It's under the front bumper.

Watch your speed in Virginia. 81 mph and over is reckless driving. They have a really solid law on this. In a nutshell, 20 over the posted limit, or more than 80 mph is an automatic reckless and they can impound your car.

As for your mpg, south of Richmond on I-85 is pretty much easy cruising downhill. You have no trouble getting decent mpg there.

What was your mileage before adding the air dam?

^This.  I moved to NC from NH, and got pegged in VA.  A court appearance is also required (had to hire a lawyer).  Radar detectors are illegal.  VA considers speeding tickets a state revenue source.
