It’s a wonder my kids come around to visit after being forced to lift forward the front seat to get in the back. Teenage kids complaining. Never heard of that. My growing up days my siblings and I spent time in the back of a pickup. Having a voice in determining what kind of ride my father was going to buy? Times have changed. My father’s favorite line if we were even a little noisy. Go out and play on the white line.

My money, my car. My kids have no say. They should consider themselves lucky that I spend a few coin for some convenience features for them. The moment they started making a mess in the backseat (dropped Legos, dropped french fry/chicken nugget) I bought a seat cover. It catches almost everything, and they're required to clean up the mess. Perhaps a seat cover would make the back seat more comfortable for the OP's teenage kids. I recommend this one. Also available in brown and gray.

Sounds like the Ram is a better fit for your needs. Seat comfort is incredibly important in a vehicle. You have to make the best choice for your family. Besides, in all honesty, there really isn't a bad HD truck on the market. They all have minor pros and cons, but the segment is hypercompetitive and they're all solid options.

This is a while other conversation that'll deal this thread. I'm not going to say much because of that, but due to being quoted I'll respond briefly.

My kids have never been called mini-me's. They are either crotch goblins or s**t-sticks. The title is dependant upon their current behavior. I raise my crotch goblins. Nobody is being paid to run them when I can do it for free. Disney Channel and Nickelodeon is where they learn to plot and manipulate, but it doesn't work on me. Mommy and daddy both served this country, and daddy knows what it means to bleed and be willing to die for our freedom. As such, that's how my kids are indoctrinated -- with liberty and justice for all. Getting a truck was part of the master plan. They learn how to be self-sufficient. For example, my oldest said he wants to learn how to fish for his birthday. I am seriously entertaining that idea. I've never fished, but it's not too late to learn.

Just wondering.....
Is the rear seat from a 2014-2018 fit?
They did not have the storage, but still had the center flip down armrest/ cupholders. Might be an option if the pinstripes are the same with the dark grey leather....
