Thinking about replacing the stock tires on my 21 Denali but am concerned about ride quality. On my last Denali which was a 2016, I had a level and ran 34" Nitto G2's but noticed quite a difference in ride quality once I installed them over stock tires. My concern is how bad with the E rated 285/50/22 in a Nitto or Toyo AT4 affect ride quality on the new 21 Sierra without a level. The truck absolutely floats right now and that's my biggest concern is hurting the ride in exchange for a much better looking truck w/ AT's.

Thanks in advance for an input.

'20 Chevy Silverado crewcab RWD, 5.3. I leveled my truck with Eibach shocks (F/R), as well as Eibach coils, which leveled the truck. Replaced stock street tires with 275/65/R20, which gave it another inch. Falken Wildpeack A/T3W. Rides well, no increase in noise.

That all depends on how you perceive it, each person is different. Some people come in and say adding stiffer springs and shocks with heavier aggressive tires doesn't change anything with how it rides, mpg, noise, etc and we know they laying. Then others do a minor change and say it ruins the truck, it all depends on the person. Heavy load rated E tires will ride rougher, how much only you know. Not changing the suspension should help. Most of the ride I imagine will be felt in the small bumps and broken pavement, nothing else should change drastically. Not sure what the point of changing tires is just for looks when concerned about on road performance, especially with a Denali. Why not find a tire that is p-rated and slightly more aggressive?

Agreed. Keep the P tires if you’re concerned with the ride. That’s the only reason to get the Denali in my opinion. It has the best ride. I like my new AT4 but my 2015 Denali rode much better on the street.

To be completely honest my biggest reason for changing tires is the overall aesthetic of the truck. In my opinion the Denali looks alot better with a more aggressive a/t tire. Second, I pull a fairly heavy wake surf boat and the added traction of an a/t tire helps at the boat ramp.

But, the truck is mostly a pavement princess and ride quality is also important to me. I understand I can't have both but wanted some feedback from other Denali owners that may have gone to an a/t tire in the 22" wheel setup.

Thanks

I put Michelins on from past experience and they do it all well, and are very compliant, quiet, and great in the rain. I tow, and do mostly highway. The Denali has a great ride, and I wouldnt degrade that for looks. If its the look you want get an AT4. Any E rated tire is going to have a harder sidewall, and worse ride.

Running G2"s on a 21 Denali without a level. Love the ride, over 15k on them now.

This is exactly the info I was looking for. What size G2’s are you running? Do you happen to have a pic of your truck? Was ride quality sacrificed over the stock tires?

Your asking if'n I have pics? Haha, pics galore. 285/50r22.

I don't really remember the ride quality of the Alanza's. Swapped them out at 600 miles. They weren't a counrty road farm tire. The truck rides better than anything else I have owned.
