2018 Sierra 2500 outside mirror reverse lights

I have the towing mirrors on my Sierra and they have what I think are reverse lights (?) on the outside edge.  Mine are not working on either side.  Not sure if one is out and so the other does not work now or how that works or what the issue is.  Could it be a fuse?  I could not find anything in the owners manual at all.  Perhaps I am looking in the wrong spot.  Ha anyone also had this issue and if so were you able to fix it yourself or is it a dealer thing?

They are original equipment.

On mine  I have to activate the cargo lights for those reverse mirror lights to come on. I have OEM tow mirrors but they are on a 1500.

Are they controlled with the "toggle" switch in the center stack under the radio/HVAC?

It is the cargo light button in the stack beneath the radio or as my granddaughter calls it, the squid launcher....  Thanks Mikeky101!

@Barefoot     you might be interested in doing this modification so that the mirror LEDs come on along with your cargo light (and LED bed lights if you have that option) to come on altogether when you get out of the truck. Really lights up everything in the dark.  Here's a video.

I had the tow mirrors installed at the dealer and all of the lights (Tow mirrors, rear cargo lamp and reverse lights, LED bed lights) come on when I press the cargo lamp toggle. They call it a work light feature and tow hitch hook up feature.
I did add a door harness part from @pgamboa so the running lights on the tow mirrors work with the turn signals and the red arrow in the tow mirrors.

Thanks for the links, I like the ideas!  The truck is still new to me and I'm still figuring somethings out.  I need to get one of those fitted boxes for under the back seat so I can get my 'truck stuff' back in my truck first, then perhaps one of the harness' to add some functionality to those lights.  thanks again!
