Go on the highway on a very flat surface, go 50 mph, it is very, very faint.. it feels like something just shut off.. but you got to know what you're looking for.. I know, I can feel it but you have to know what it feels like..

The K2s tell you if it’s in V8 mode or V4 mode on certain pages in the DIC. Do the T1s do this as well regardless if the truck has AFM or DFM? If so, that’s another way to find out if it’s enabled.

Her old 2018 did, but we had a Superchips tune in it that disabled it.  My 2019 LT TrailBoss has DFM and doesn't give any visual indication when it kicks in...

Requesting the build sheet, which lists all of the RPO codes for your VIN, from the GM social media account ([email protected]) is fast and will provide you with the answer.  I received my build sheet within three hours of my request, though I did send my request early on a work day.

Tried to scan the QR code from my iPhone and it wouldn't pull up...  Hmmm...

You may need to download an app. If memory serves me right, iPhone's won't let you copy the data from a QR code scan, instead it just tries to take you to a webpage.

All 2022 have DFM active.  What they don't have is AUTO STOP/START.

Her 2022 absolutely 100% has auto stop start.  I have to disable it with the button every time we drive it.

I think it still depends, that is the case with my TB. it says it in the options sheet of the sticker, "ENG 6.2L ECOTEC3 V8 NO AUTOSTOP WITH DYNAMIC FUEL MANAGEMENT"

I think you speedometer is different too, as when they have it - it is labeled autostop.

So I am super curious about this too as I think that 2022's do not have it in some case.

I've got a 22 Sierra and the highway rating is 19MPG. If I pull up the same truck as a 2021 on fueleconomy.gov it lists 22MPG highway. Start/stop doesn't impact highway performance so I'm thinking that my truck doesn't have the feature and the default for the 5.3 is no DFM and you only have it if your window sticker specifies DFM (mine does not).
