Fluid leak

I can’t seem to figure out where I have a fluid leak coming from. I removed the shield from the front of the vehicle almost under the radiator. There seems to be a hose leaking a brown fluid. The oil is fine so I don’t believe that’s it. My buddy said it’s the power steering fluid, but I believe it’s electric. Any thoughts on what it may be? Thanks in advance!

Would be more helpful for us to help if you stated what year, vehicle and motor you have.

It's a V8 based on the pictures he gave.

 

It's either the oil cooler lines or the transmission cooler lines. Being a brown color means it's likely oil. Transmission fluid on a newer truck would still be red in color.

Thanks man. My buddy is insistent it’s the power steering since he said we have a hybrid system with oil utilized by both the brake lines and power steering system.

Yeah, no power steering fluid at all. They ditched that back in 2014 with the half ton trucks, been all electric since then.

Yeah but the leak was happening before that. Honestly thought maybe it was just a bad oil filter. It stopped temporarily after the change but started up again.

Come to find out this little nugget. Gonna schedule an appointment thinking this is probably it.
