I been searching the forum for an hour or so, so forgive me if this is something that's been repeated. I have an 07 Sierra new body style, 4x4 vortec max. I recently did front end work and a brake job(calipers, rotors, and pads). The ABS and traction control never worked since I've had the truck. It never worked because it's been unplugged so I plugged it back in. With the ABS plugged in, I get random brakes being applied without me doing it. Anybody got some direction for me here??

A scan tool that can monitor and look at the ABS system would be wanted.

Having a bad wheel speed sensor wouldn't cause these issues as those just throw a light on the dash. Possible there is an issue with the ABS unit itself.

That's what I was figuring on. I got my brother in law coming lager with the HP Tuner software. I was hoping there was some nitpicky thing that somebody could point me to

HP Tuners can help with the engine/transmission stuff but can't read the ABS system.

You may be ahead to pay a local retail automotive place the hour for troubleshooting.

HP Tuner system gave me a code for a bad "brake pedal position sensor"... seems to have fixed the problem, drove around for about 30 minutes and never got any unintentional braking
