Hey everyone, I've got a 6in rough country lift on my 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 LTD. I noticed recently that whenever I reverse park on a slight incline or decline. Anyone know what it possibly be? I've checked my tie rod ends and sway bar links and they seem fine. I dont see any signs of rubbing or wear from the times I've checked it. When I first got the kit installed it didnt make a squeek, but recently I noticed the clunk has gotten louder and I have no idea what it could be at this point. One buddy mentioned maybe axles are popping in and out of place, is that possible, or has anyone had this happen? Any input would be helpful.

Man when you start doing high lifts like that and start messing with the suspension geometry and pinion angles all kinda ****** starts happening with screwy noises and vibration.  It may be hard to pinpoint it.

How big are the rear blocks?

Axle wrap is an issue with blocks. Traction Bars fix that problem.

My 18 with a 9" Mcgaughys lift had 6" blocks. It had a clunky noise not that loud but it was there. I put Traction Bars on it and solved the problem.

I'm certain that it's coming from the front, my friend and I tried replicating the sound, but it s so damn inconsistent that we can tell if its left front or right front, but definitely the front.

I've got 6in blocks in the rear. My noise is coming from the front left or right.

Where was your clunking noise coming from originally?

Check everything to see if it’s tight?

Can you describe the clunk a bit more thoroughly?

I'll double check that everything is tight later today and get back to you.

The clunking noise kind of sounds like something is reconnecting.

If I had to guess...assuming 4wd, and where to start looking for loose bolts...CV's, upper and lower control arms, front rack mounts/drop bracket.  Looking at the 6" kit for your truck, that looks to be where someone could have forgot to torque a bolt after install.  Did you go through after 500 or so miles and re-torque everything?

From experience, I had two upper control arm bolts back out and cause a serious left turn while braking; different kit.
