I got 8% below msrp deisel 3500 denali look for something at or below msrp.

I find that hard to believe as that is over a $7,100 savings on an $89 k truck. I KNOW they don't have that much room on their invoices. I know my local sales manager well, and he showed me that they only have about $2,800 margin over invoice on MSRP, they rely on volume sales & making another $5-$6k on your trade. That's why they don't really like cash deals also.

At my dealer, they never had a markup on MSRP...not even during Covid. They still don't but they also don't offer any discount...yet! They are a very high volume dealer and they are still selling a lot of trucks! I was looking at two with a diesel, although I really wanted gas. They came in and got sold within days!

Hoe you don't think I was calling you a liar.

No sir Bruce

me and Robbie both had to travel across several states to get that deal.

Total savings for me

Dealers around here adding 5k to msrp 92k would have been 97k.

I paid 83k, 14k savings for me well worth it for me.

I see you ordered yours. I did the same. Great that they gave you that deal even though you ordered it and not because they just had a lot of trucks in stock.

Yes sir I did, they couldn't keep them in stock and were sold before they hit the lot, so we placed an order and 111 days later it was there and man this truck is nice

Ahhh.....so you both ordered!

If I didn't have to drive across the country, I would have done that...although, since I am retired, would be easy to do!

Good to hear you fellas are doing okay with your new trucks and sharing information !

When browsing online in British Columbia at dealerships its quite a bit of comparing different trucks as its not apples to apples most time .

I have a few more questions for you fellas and hoping I ger a lot of replies .

#1  On the 2500 HD I see you can get an off road package . I off road some tricky stuff while hunting but its not like Im bouncing off bumps and hills so would it really be needed . I mean I could just buy factory skid plates and put them on my self for  protection ,no ?

I saw a 3500 HD that had the Z package and was priced close to a 2500 without that option .

#2 I also saw a 2500 HD with 2 alternators and dual batteries . Wont be getting a camper but travel trailer of some kind we will . So what do you think of that option ?

#3 There's also one on a lot that has the snow plow package What's that all about ?

#4    if the 2500 HD truck bed is already drilled for gooseneck and fifth wheel is it set to go for either of those application except  for buying a fifth wheel for the box ?Thank You !

#1 Robbie should know more (he is the hunter) I am the camper guy

#2 if it's there it's there eitherway is fine, your camper will have it's own battery so not need for travel trailer.

#3 from what I understand snow package will have heavy-duty springs up front similar to a 3500 spring and may or may not have the extra alternator.

#4 exactly as stated and way cheaper than after market, takes up no bed space and is a good resale point for some of us.

    • I am having similar issues.. 08, 4.8L granted I did had a fender bender and minor damage up front passenger side but I don’t think it had anything to do with it.. I had the high and low pressure checked and my fan for my radiator keeps coming on.. replaced the pressure switch and don’t want to keep throwing parts at it. I did have some minor problems here and there like on long road trips sometimes the ac would get a little warm and then on the highway as soon as I give it a little gas or get a little heavier on the petal it started running cooler. Never had an issue with the ac besides the here and there.. but I also started having issues when I fuel up now it takes a bit to start ( super embarrassing) it runs fine and once started ( only happens after fueling up) starts fine any other time. Could they be related?
    • Spent a small fortune on fuel this weekend.   $6.69 diesel, 18 gallons of that. $6.99 92-octane ethanol free, 10 gallons of that for yard machines $5.59 87-octane for one of the cars, 11 gallons.   $250+ and I didn't even get a tug.   Hormuz ain't Hormuzin again, did not see that coming...LOL
    • Appreciate the advice. I've watched multiple videos. Most showing the most complex for those that have a center console, to one that showed maybe 2 pieces of trim being removed, like 6 screws, pulling back the screen and switch assembly, and installing the inline module. And this was a new/newer Silverado. That didn't look too bad. All the others show alot of trim pieces that need to be removed. I've broken those kind of tabs/clips on my C8 Corvette trying to get to the battery, and that was a lot less clips than what I think is involved here after watching multiple videos and looking at my dash today. I have one on the way. Called a reputable stereo place about installing it and got a "minimum" price of $175. Ouch! Looking forward to seeing what the instructions have to say.
    • Hard to say what the issue might be. Anything from the ability to cool the AC condenser up front, to blend door issues in the HVAC unit, to refrigerant charge, to compressor issues or issues in the lines.   Report back what the techs find on the 29th.   GM has service publications which list acceptable vent temperatures and AC pressures at given ambient temps and humidity. They probably won't touch the system if it's operating within those ranges.   I'm also surprised to hear your 2024 with the L8T is still using R134a? I was pretty sure the HD's had switched to the new refrigerant around 2020.
