This may be a harsh way of putting it , but it’s true. I changed the dash speaker in mine(real easy to do took 20 minutes. I posted the pdf from crutchfield that showed how to remove all speakers and replace them. Speakers cost me 55 at crutchfield but you can get a way better set for around 75. Order the metra 73-4573 for the connectors for the speakers they worked perfectly for me and the sound will be alot better. Door speakers are easy as well. May be some of the guys can speak up about what speakers they used to get rid of the muddled sound.

I've found that simply swapping the speakers in my Tahoe and Vette with the premium Bose systems made a pretty nice improvement - and quickly got rid of that boosted mids muddiness. I last used the JL C2's before and they are really nice.  But I don't see a C2 6x9 version that will fit.  So, it seems the C1-690x and C1-650x is the way to go as CF recommends.  Too bad they don't have a C1 to fit the dash.

 

MShawn, did CF have the Metra 73-4573, or did you source that elsewhere?  I checked Amazon too and they don't carry it either.

I have the bose and also had the harmon kardon system in RAM

 

always considered myself not to really care too much but I was actually pretty disappointed in both.....I just expected better though realistically it's probably par for the course.....slightly better than the base system which I've also had

 

Maybe I am stereo snob and never knew it

 

Never spent money really on these things nor am I even huge music nerd......

 

Just figured it would sound alot better and it really doesnt...

 

I know they hit price points fir every lil thing so fir sure it's the cheapest they could get away with.....

 

Many change just speakers out at some point but that's it....

 

It's probably not even a Bose or just one piece is

I went with JL Audio C1-690x in the front doors.  They made a big difference.  I put JBL Club 622s in the rear doors, and they did not.  The rear door speakers are just muddled.  Dash speakers I went with the Kenwood KFC-X2C, and they made a big difference.  It did reduce the volume of my turn signals though.   I have an amp and loopback harness on the way, that will hopefully make it all sound better.

I am also somewhat disappointed in the Bose system in my '23.  It doesn't sound as good as the Bose in my '14 did.  That being said, I didn't buy the truck because of the stereo.  A stereo is important to me, but I'm buying a truck with a stereo, not a stereo that happens to have an attached truck.  I may get around to upgrading speakers at some point, but as of now, it's good enough - just not awesome.

Its in the settings, mine was disappointing  compared to my 2020 Sierra. My wife messed with my audio settings and it does not sound to bad.

Sorry I just saw this…. I order the metra speaker harnesses from Amazon. Walmart Carrie’s them Lao and can be ordered.
