As everyone knows the sound is terrible.... I replaced my speakers with the Rockford Fosgate Punch series in my refreshed 2023 Sierra. They sound great. But once my installer removed the alleged factory Bose speakers he discovered they weren't Bose speakers at all..... I'm guessing that GM just put speakers in that fit due to shortages and we paid extra for garbage and replacing the speakers. I smell a class action lawsuit.

80% of what's sold on Amazon is Chinese junk, too.  Where is their class action lawsuit?  All GM has to do is show Bose was the supplier and the lawsuit is over.

Sounds like Bose may be off-shoring their production. Did not know that, but if true it would explain why their brand is not what it used to be. You cannot make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

I just got my 2024 Denali with Bose system.  I like to listen to music at full volume and was prepared to be disappointed.  The Bose system isn't great but not awful.  I feel like the highs are crisp and accurate, the base is a bit weak and mids are solid by the vocal tone is off.  I listen to a lot of classic rock with strong vocals and guitar.  My last vehicle was Jeep Grand Cherokee with 18 speaker 850 watt Harmon Kardon system.  It was very good.  Crisp, accurate, clear, all the way up to full volume.  Again, the Bose is not the best but I'm not sure I'm ready to rip anything apart and spend money to upgrade.  It also seems like the Bose speakers and amp are not easily upgraded due to the lower ohm speakers

Thanks for the update - which speakers did you replace?  Front and rear door speakers?  Any other updates?  Did you order through Crutchfield?  Anything else to share on the install?

I agree......not top notch audiophile quality audio but it doesn't sound terrible either IMHO, if adjusted properly for your tastes.

Definitely not junk, like some here make it out to be.

I probably plan on swapping out the dash and door speakers maybe this spring when it warms up as it won't cost too terrible much to do.

My '24 Denali HD, the Audio Quality of the Bose Speakers are a BIG Letdown.  My other non-industrial life for 45 years, is a pro performing and recording keyboardist. Around the best audio equipment from age 12.

I had my '24 front door panels off soon after delivery, to add KC Highlight LED puck lights to the door under-shells, to see the running-boards at night, to get in & out. (Piss Poor GM Cabin Lighting....... I did many posts on this with @64BAwagon, this summer). At least Cadillac SUV's are lit up like the Vegas Strip. Even Led's inside door and console pockets !

Looking at the "Bose" front door speaker construction quality (Lack Of), Magnet size, Paper Cone and Voice Coil Size, are some of the cheapest I have seen in the industry. Door speakers should at least be a "Two or Three Way" design, to cover a wider range of frequency. Stock ones at best, a weak mid range  design. "Tweeters" in the dash, cannot get them loud enough for good stereo separation. Have the E.Q. treble set at 100%, still lacking........

Will most likely add a Tweeter "Pod" to each windshield "A" Pillar post, when I replace the door speakers.

In 1973, I created a kick-butt audio system in my own custom van, to haul my keyboards to gigs. Using not so easy to find components,(one was a Blaupunkt AM/FM Cassette, with remote control hard wired pendant, from Germany),  and some not meant for car audio (like J.B.L., A.D.S. (Analog & Digital Systems, Boston), and Altec Lansing). My high school friends and musician buddies, soon had me doing their cars as well. Before the car stereo craze took off.

I WILL be replacing at least the speakers in my new GMC this spring. Will document what "OHM" value they are, and diameter. The Ohm speaker resistance is critical, not to cause damage to the amplifiers.

Attached pic of the type of speaker I would consider, but in the proper size and a three way (Mid & Tweeter cone included), would be like this for the doors. Think about a 6" dia. . Has to fit the GM / Bose custom molded plastic door mount bezel.

for a few hundred dollars I'm def willing to try this but I've watched the videos online and I'm not convinced at all that I can pull the door panels off without breaking something....and get them back on without creating a gap or rattle somewhere that wasn't there previously
