I have spent about 8 hours working on my truck, 500 bucks for parts and fluids.

However, it runs better and I really think it will last another 10 years.

I have 98 silverado, 1500, 4x4, Z71. I have done the rear diff, the transfer case, the oil, the tranny fluid, and the PS fluid thanks to tips on this site. Also, I have the powerslot brakes and rotors waiting to go on next week.

I REALLY appreciate the help from you all and think this site is awesome!

This is a great site for GM truck enthusiasts, and once again I want to thank all of our members for making this place the classiest and most informative GM truck site on the net!!!

 I wouldn't have done half of what I have had I not come along to the forum and gotten a good idea of what's involved in some procedures as well as what easy mods can be made.

Amen to that. I had been doing some of this stuff before, but with this site, I am able to do it much better and stay on top of stuff. I am continually impressed by this site! Keep it up!!!

Yeah, I changed my own oil but I never did the tranc, diff., or any other fluids. Now, I do all of them myself. Probably a lot more often then needed but I enjoy working on it myself and I hope it will last me a long long time. Thanks to everyone on this site.!!

I agree, this forum is great. I used to check the corvette forum a lot, but now I find myself here much more. I check here everyday for something new.:thumbs:

Definatly. I was a ZR1.net memeber for over 3 years. I'm a huge Vette enthusiest, but I wanted to more involved. That was difficult since I wasn't a ZR-1 owner. Great to find a good C/K board.

Well I couldn't agree more with everything said above. This is a great site - we not only learn more about our trucks, but we come to like them more too.

My only regret is that I can't contribute more. This is simply because I don't know the answer to lots of the questions and issues that come up. But we all are SOOOOOOOOOO fortunate to have many terrific members here who consistently DO know what they're talking about, and know what they’re talking about at a very high level.

Long Live GM-Trucks.com !!!

Geez, howcome I can't meet a woman who feels that way about me?!?

That's the whole point of a forum like this: we get together and share our tips, tricks, and - hate to admit it but it happens - our boo boo's too.

I've also learned a lot since joining this forum, particularly that there are folks out there just as anal-compulsive about their trucks as I am.

These trucks are great. I traded off a Toyota AND a Honda, so GM did something right.
