30” RC Dual Light Bar behind grill

Going on tip and needed bar. I searched but could only find the Putco brackets and light bar for 2019+ Sierra, or use the 3.0 lower grill with a 20” bar. I liked the way the 3.0 grill looked and ease of install so may do that next.  Here is a link of another’s install:

 

After Reading were others were able to install 30” I ordered the RC 30” dual row (spot and flood) black series. After YouTubing how to remove front grill, I noticed the bumper mount bolts seemed like a good and sturdy mount point. I was able to make my own mounts out of some flat aluminum I had laying around and some galvanized bolts (used factory bumper bolts as base mounts). Removed 2 rows of air shutter slats to make room (do not cut…just bend and they pop out and save for later incase need them). Grill is about 1/2 inch from the light bar and grill (the close up picture shows that).  The RC switch had an LED red light that stayed on all the time so I also used a 4-wire push button from Amazon and wired it into the dash where AUX switches usually go. I connected the switches back light wire to the BCM X7 #9 so it will dim with dash settings.
 

I will be replacing the adjuster allen bolts with regular hex heads… making adjustments to the light bar aim is about impossible through the grill with allen bolts. If I just have regular hex bolts, I can use a wrench or a quarter inch ratchet super easy. So now have Bambi mode (all lights) and the light bar all covert.  Pics below. Hopes this helps someone.
