Went into the dealer to perform the Gateway recall and few other simple things.

One of the things I requested was to add the UF3 Fast Idle mode. They could definitely do it but they were going to charge be 4.5 hours at $280/hour for a grand total of $1260. I decided I would pass on getting that option added.

On the 2024 models, both the ECM and BCM require programming. In previous years, it may have been just the ECM that needed programming so it might be cheaper.

Anyone else do this on a 2024 model? What was the charge?

I have an appointment next month at the dealer and will ask them about adding the high idle option. It was a $200 option on the 2024’s, wish I would have ordered it.

Likewise. Would be nice for my 50A DC to DC converter in my trailer to have it although not a necessity....especially for $1260.

I see a post on a Dmax forum about adding it (including the L8T gassers) afterwards.

Go to a different dealer.  That’s way too much.

I had to go to 2 different dealers to get this done. The first had my truck for 2 days and said they could not get the truck to accept the program. They quoted $260 to do to. No charge since it was not completed.

The second dealer had my truck for about 3 hours and done. Charged $250.
