Seat cushion difference (19 vs certain 22s)

Wanting to update my OEM 'leather' to something softer more upscale. I found a set I liked but it says its only for some 22-24?? Apparently they went from a rounded insert to square. Looking at it, I dont see how they arent compatible unless the hog ring locations moved?? 

 

Any idea why it wouldn't work?

There aren't any hog rings in the covers. There's plastic clips that snap into inserts in the foam. The rest is zippers or velcro holding the pieces on. This is from my personal experience stripping a 22 power driver seat that I believe was a pre-refresh. The cloth looked identical to my stock seat in my 2021 Custom. I pulled the cover to put leather on from Alea.

Hey thanks. I found a Katzkin set that I really liked. My previous experience was on older import cars and they all had hog rings. Super glad to learn that these don't. 

 

Talked to a couple shops and basically you just cave to slice in the new straight clip runs (vice straight). I'll throw some pics up once installed
