Tailgate swap-'21 NON flex

I have some damage to the my tailgate and I'm weighing options on what he best way forward is.  2021 Trailboss LT with backup camera (but not the down angle to the hitch) and push button release.  

 

Mechanically, I've watched videos on how to remove and reinstall a new tailgate, but what is involved with reconnecting the camera and electronics? Is it truly just plug and play? I vaguely remember a thread on having to have GM recalibrate a camera, but I don't recall the context. I have found a replacement option and if its all the same, I'll just pick it up and swap rather than deal with a body shop.

Make sure the gate has the same options as much as possible.  So LT Trail Boss should have power release and then the torque rod inside it.  You may have to swap your camera over if its the standard definition or HD.
