Hello Experts!  I have a 2018 Silverado.  My trailer brake light warning message came on.  We replaced the trailer brake control module, but still got intermittent readings.  After extensive pin by pin testing, we found that a wire going into the plastic wiring harness 84403141 had corroded all the way inside it.  More extensive searching for this wire harness has come to the conclusion that it is no longer manufactured by ANYBODY.  I find it hard to believe that a truck this young would already have completely discontinued parts.  If it helps anyone, it's on diagram TC03-881 dated 2/06/013.  I need part # 4 on that diagram.  I tried a few places that said they specialize in discontinued parts and they told me this one is simply not available period.

So, my question is, do any of you know of any under the radar shops that might have one of these?  Or any potential used parts place that might have it?  We are getting to the point of almost needing to just break it open and run wires without it but I'd rather not do that if I don't have to.  Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Got any pick and pull yards near by?  That's going to be your only option for a full harness.  Or, restring the affected circuits with new wire.  Or junk the truck.  Also, its not "young", its 8 years old.

They can't make full chassis harnesses like that forever...  Heck, they've already started discontinuing some items for 2019 new style trucks.  We can't get a door harness anymore for one that has an intermittent window inop problem.

GMPartsDirect is run by a GM dealership franchise.  Flow Chevrolet.  Its pulling from their inventory, unless its somehow also tied to OEC.  More than likely though, a parts associate there ran the number through GM PWB or OEC to see no inventory.

If it's just a regular harness, I would just repair it.Depin the problem wire, get some wire (I actually prefer hitting a junkyard to get wire that's the same size/wire colors/pin already crimped on), then butt join and insert the pin into the connector.

And if it's shorter, I've pulled the whole wire out of another truck and replaced it in the harness.

Thank you all for your answers!  I live in Roseburg, OR, small town life in southern Oregon.  I will try the car-part.com website and see what I can find.  But most likely sounds like we'll be rebuilding the connector.  Was told there isn't enough wire but maybe we can pull the pin as suggested and replace it.  Thank you all again, I really appreciate the feedback!
