2007 SLE DIC Upgrade

Thanks daddy! I just installed the DIC switches and it was a breeze. It was a long wait though. My order from gmpartsdirect took four weeks to come in. I thought my order was lost or something. I guess it was out of stock. I should of been notified though. Now I have to read up what I can do with these new buttons

are these the correct #'s for the DIC switch components seperatly? Switch-# 15947841

Panel- # 25783286 all the dealers I have called say the assy 19159438 is out of stock, is this true?

Those are the numbers I gave and they ARE correct. And yes they probably are out of stock. However I just ordered two more assemblies, and received them today.Might be the last ones for awhile.

I dont know if this link has been posted but www.gmaccessoriesstore.com has the dic w/trim plate for $86.28 + shipping. I was looking around and came across it.

New to the forum, but have been lurking for a few weeks. I added this farkle to the truck yesterday and I love it. The whole process took about 5 minutes. Kinda neat to see the instant fuel mileage and the switch over to 4 cyl. Thanks a bunch.

got it yesterday from gmaccessorieszone.com. my DIC slipped in nice and easy! took me like 5 minutes tops

I just wanted to let everyone know that adding the Driver Information Center (DIC) to your 2007 SLE is a snap.

I ordered the part from gmpartsdirect.com. The install took 5 minutes.

Directions (I would have taken photos but it's really unnecessary as this is so simple.)

*******************************************************************************

1. Turn the truck off.

2. Pull the old section of dash (on the left of the wheel) off by hand.

3. Remove the light controls (simple plastic clips).

4. Remove the extra cable clipped into the piece of dash (it's already there just not being used...YET!

5. Install the light controls into the new piece of dash (yes it comes with the new piece of dash, new vent and the switch)

6. Plug the previously non used wire into the new switch.

7. Put the new dash plate back into place by hand.

8. Turn on the truck! You're done!

This mod gives you access to fuel mileage, range, gallons used, V8/V4 mode notification, tire pressures, tire sensor learning, key fob learning, chime volume, entry and exit lighting schemes, lock and unlock schemes (including automatic lock/unlock), unit and language choices, engine hours and probably more that I have forgotten already.

The beauty of all of this is the cost - $100.22 shipped.

I ordered the parts from GMpartsdirect seems like forever ago and still have not received them. I emailed them and now I cant even get them to respond. Any ideas how long these people take?
