Can anyone please help me with the part number for the trim panel that goes in with the DIC switch? I am looking on gmpartsdirect.com and can't find it.

It's all in the forum, you just have to go back a few pages and read. There is a post by BloodRedSilverado a few pages back in this topic where he lists the part numbers, that's how i got them .. I PM'ed you the part number for the panel.

I don't recall the number off hand but if you look back through this thread, it's there somewhere. The Silvy and Sierra panels are exactly the same. You may be finding on panel for the SLE ot LT trim and the other for the LTZ or SLT.

i believe it is 25783286. i'm getting 2+ mpg increase since installing the DIC controls because i can see in real time how driving habits affect mpg's definitely a must have.

I just bought the trim panel and switch from the local dealer here yesterday. Here is the info from my reciept.

 

25783286 Plate $53.60

15947841 Switch $27.94

 

Those are list prices. I was able to get everything with tax for $65.90

Put it in this morning, and everything works great.

Yes they do.

LTZ dash is different, the panel won't fit the LT

As Scott said, Yes, they do but that doesn't mean you can't buy the replacement panels and switches for them. The differences between them could be the differences in price beause the other two are exactly the same.

does any body know if you can buy the harness?? ovioulsy this wouldent work but i want to get one becuase i messed up one of the wires??

I doubt highly that one can order the DIC harness alone. It's probably integrated into a much larger collection of wiring. How did you manage to mees up the wires? I'd get a soldering iron and try to repair the old one. That will probably be your best bet. That or live without the upgrade. Sorry. You can always send your VIN to GMPartsDirect.com and ask them for the part number. They'll tell you if you can order it or not.

how do yu do that?? i was trying to tap into the illum wire so that it would light up my stereo on the same switch stupid i know but thats how i roll also great post also do you know what each one of the wires go to. like the yellow, green/white, purple, brown, and the other one???

How do you do that? I was trying to tap into the illumination wire so that it would light up my stereo on the same switch (stupid i know but thats how i roll). Also, do you know what each one of the wires go to? Like the yellow, green/white, purple, brown, and the other one? Do you have a diagram?

      I can only guess as well that something was clicked on that brought you to the half ton choices by accident. By all means try again and chose the 3500 and sort out that its the cab and box configuration you want and choose four wheel drive ( rather obvious to have a transfer case ) and to make sure the dually isn't chosen. I find or at least did a couple of years ago when I was sifting through the options that it would sometimes jump ahead after choosing the series of truck and in this case 3500 and skip some of the other initial configuration choices and have to watch the heading bar and sometimes back up by choosing the first in the series of option break downs. I think sometimes the computer will remember items that were last chosen and skip over the first part. Anyway go through it all and depending on the trim level chosen and I think the LT is one that may fall into that where the option of having the 4 high auto transfer case can be chosen, where as a High Country doesn't show that option as it just comes with the fancier ( not necessarily better though in terms of potential problems ) transfer case but for sure both transfer case choices are equipped with high and low range in the HD truck segment. Like Newdude said who works at a dealership, its the half tons that are the ones that will come with the single speed unless certain options or trim levels are chosen that add the two speed transfer case but as your looking at an HD, you don't have to worry about that hot mess.    One item that at least didn't show up and not sure if it does yet or not in the HD options on the manufactures pubic website is the upfitter in cab switch option if one is desiring that. Unfortunately its not wired in at the factory but the panel with the switches is on the dash but the wiring harness to be installed gets tossed under the rear seat to be installed by whomever after the fact to complete the installation.

      Yesterday we brought home a 6yr  old Havanese dog from a nearby SPCA.  We've had her for 24 hours and we are delighted with how well she is adjusting to her new home.  It  was a huge decision to adopt a dog at this stage in our lives but we believe we made the right choice!   it was reported that her first 6 years were ones of neglect.  I think she's already realizing her life is going to get a whole lot better...  so is ours!

      No doubt, I definitely agree with you. However, considering the 6.2 and 3.0 have been catastrophically failing with very little miles, I figured I would put trouble free. I’m at 18,4xx and still not a single issue.

      It’s never dry here but it gets hot. My 4 vehicles I keep at home drive an 18 mile loop. One 6 days a week. Two about 3 days each and one once a month. Only one goes on trips about 4 times a year 1000 to 2000 miles each time. One 26 years old gets driven once a month for 22 years. One 14 years old goes 6 days a week. The other two are recent at 2 and 4 years. All are performing normal no extra service other than that would be half of recommended or severe service in the maintenance manual. No extra water or steam out the exhaust or premature plug wear. I would consider an 18 mile loop would be enough. So apparently once a month at 18 miles for 22 years has kept the collector car running well. About 45 minutes a month.
