Could you post where you got that from? All the local dealers want $164.00 for it, and the wreckers only have base model trucks right now.

+1 on the thanks to daddy. Got mine from the local Chevy dealer(my company has an account there so I get a discount). I bought the switch and panel separate for a total of $52.00, 17.00 for the switch and 35.00 for the panel. Got it installed in about 15 minutes, works great. I love seeing the instant MPG. The AFM doesn't switch as much as I'd like, but that can be changed with a tune.

Thanks again daddy.

And BloodRedSilverado for suggesting buying the parts separately.

Thanks guys.. A friend showed me this website, I promptly joined and read this tread. Ordered my DIC and installed it. Works great just like you said. Worked good enough that I ordered one for my dad's truck. Will make a great Birthday present for him. Thanks again

But if you can order the two separate parts for cheaper, that might be a better way to go.

Actually, couldn't you just order the switch for like 17 bucks and just cut a hole in the panel? I know there is a slot in the old panel that shows exactly where the switch goes, its just not cut out.

Anyone that wants to try to cut out the original panel, I'd be glad to donate mine to you if you need a second try. Pay for shipping and it's yours.

Stumbled up on this post and glad I did. I ordered the switch and panel as seperate parts from a local dealer today. It was only 60.00 dollars for both parts. Should be in tomorrow morning. Can't wait to get it installed.

So, got the DIC in today.

My mom phoned me today at work and said that I owe her 40 bucks for the package in the mail.

Yup, gotta love those import fees at the border. Seriously, what the hell.

I'm heading home after class, so I'll install it then....maybe I should go back to work a few more hours before heading home to make up for the shipping costs. Sheesh.

Picked mine up from the dealer today. It was super easy to install. I installed it on the way home while sitting in traffic. No it's time to start looking for a leveling kit.
