Thanks Daddy,

I ordered DIC panel from www.ChevroletpartsPeople.com and put it on Friday. I didn't order the preferred package and didn't realize I would not get the full DIC options. I was bummed it didn't have full DIC. $90 delivered to the door, installed in about 20 minutes. Never even looked at the directions.

Great to see instant economy and to see it go from V8 to V4. Didn't realize how often it goes into V4 mode.

Thanks Again,

Curtis

has anyone tried to add steering wheel controls to the 2007 nbs non bose system?

+1 I didnt know that the cruise control was on the steering wheel, and didnt really like the way the audio was there, compared to 06's buttons inside the wheel. But since the cruise is already there, id love to add the audio, some brave soul PLEASE try ahah.

I just added this mod to my silverado as well! Thanks for the info! :)

The parts guy I know at the dealership said, "it' can't be that easy". But it was!

Also I got an extra switch in my switch and dash package? The parts guy thought it must be a mistake so if any one needs a switch the extra one can go for cheap.

Which Silverado? I have a new 2007 Silverado K2500HD 1LT and I cannot find the unused wiring connector that the panel with the DIC buttons should connect to. Perhaps fortunately I'm checking this before ordering.

Does anyone happen to know where the DIC controls are on the SLE1 or SLE2 if you have it as part of the Preferred package?

It's interesting to me that in my SLT, the controls are on the right, but this controller installs on the left. Just curious if it's because of the different trim package, or if it's because of buying the part seperately.

It is because of the different trim levels.

We just bought an LT1 with the 5.3L, we paid extra and bought the 20" Alloys that are available on the upper models. Since these came off of a truck actually on the lot, are provisions on the truck already that I could install the DIC kit you linked to and be able to receive tire pressures?

Most likely. I have an SLE1 and I receive my tire pressures no problem. As long as the sensors are in each wheel, you should be fine. At the very most you may need to use the relearn method to have the truck recognize the new sensors. Do a search, there are plenty of posts about how to do that on the site.

WOWZA......i'm new here, but not new to chevy as i have my '00 w/250,000 miles still going strong.

the wife calls me Friday afternoon and says "don't you need a new truck?"...........i was like "nah, big red is still going strong".........then she has the cajones to tell me that i was already GMAC approved with nothing down, "lets at least go look at em".....Da#n it, came home with this,

drove it 2 miles and fell in love...............the only thing i too was bummed about was that it has the DIC through the odometer button, but man, catching this thread just cinched my love affair............this is truly an awesome site, and many thx to you daddy for posting this.

gonna order the switch today.

I know this is the light truck forum, and I have a 2007 NBS Silverado 2500HD! But for the 2007 NBS Silverado 1500 owners where did you find the unused DIC wiring harness? I'm assuming (perhaps incorrectly) that the 2500HD is similar and it should be there somewhere. I've removed my side panel and there is no obvious unused harness, and I can't find anything plugged into a dummy socket. However there is so little space that it conceivably could be tucked in somewhere hard to reach although I have checked. Any hints? This would be an awesome upgrade! Thanks.
