im on week number 2 of my truck and I had a passanger not knowing about this topic at all bring up the fact the seats have a bunch of build up on them. I was shocked!

Yup, I had to bring the dog around in the Truck for a few days. That was fun.

On the second day, I put a blanket over the rear seats of the truck - when I took the blanket down, there was more lint from the blanket than there would have been dog fur.

Using a vaccuum with a brush attachment works pretty good to clean it off.

A coworker told me today that he couldn't believe I let my golden retrievers ride around in my truck. Problem is I havent. These seats are ridiculous. My brother has an industrial shop vac and it did absolutely nothing. I have to spend 10 minutes lint rolling everyother day.

I dont have any new updates thou im in the same boat as everyone else with the horrible lint.Its unthinkable that this many people have this big of a FACTORY complaint and still no answer or fix.I got a free oil change and was told to get a can of scotchguard.

Ive got 31 grand in a truck that continues to look like a hairball.Im just venting but this is sad to say probably not going to get fixed mark my words.

How long has it been since the first TSB was issued? Sorry if this is common knowledge, I'm new here. Is there some kind of betting pool in place for which comes out first between the seat fix and the long distance auto start keyfob?

Hey guys, just my 2 cents. I had the ebony cloth also and the lint was killing me! I couldn't take it anymore and went with the leather from classic soft trim. It looks great and made me feel so much better about my truck.

I've got Katzkins on order for mine. I've been running around with the "new" cloth covers on the front and the originals on the rear seats since the end of September. GM did nothing but stall, lie, avoid, and otherwise deceive me on this issue. The poor dealer was caught in the middle. I was told so many things by so many different people at GM. I asked the last person I spoke with why he was not informed of the "list". He asked me what list, and I told him the list of lies that the other reps always refer to when they talk to me about lint on the seats.

Like to see some pics of your setup. Did you look at Katzkins at all? We have dealers here for both, and the dealer that sells the Classic Soft Trim threw a kaniption fit at one of his workers and trashed some parts while I was there, so I did not want my truck in his shop. The Katzkins dealer wanted three days and $1500 labor plus the leather kit ($1000). So I decided to order from another out-of-state dealer and will be doing the install myself.

I"ll get some pics up as soon as I can, but the classic soft trim guys I went too did my truck in half a day, and it cost me 940.00. A wholesaler friend got me in for that price. They originally wanted 1400.00 off the street. The instalation was flawless. I watched them do some seats for another car and they fit great. You cannot tell the difference between them and factory.

Well, I read about this, and now I've experienced it. The tape style lint rollers seem to do absolutely nothing to remove the lint, same with vacuuming. Any other tricks? I'll be watching this post closely...I only wish they actually made lint brushes that grab onto and hold lint as well as these seats do.

I've been using a microfiber towel, lightly dampened with water. That's about the only thing that I've had any sort of luck in getting the lint off.

It's good to know that you all are having the same problem... I constantly clean the seats because it's getting real bad.

I just use an air compressor to get the crud off.

I use packing tape,I tear off pieces and just apply the tape to the seat and pull it off,I got it down to were it just takes me a few minutes to do,Its still a pain in the butt though,and we shouldn't have to do this.

I was at the dealership this weekend. The service guy said I was the third person to complain about the seats that week. He said he had one in a bay that was buying leather seats for 1500 because he couldn't stand it. Great solution GM, if you don't like the faulty seats we put in your 36,000 dollar truck maybe you should pay us for new ones.
