Tsb On Ebony Seat

Your seats were not the ones the TSB applies too. Your seats are not the lint magnet seat covers. The initial solution was to replace the premium cloth with your fabric, which is not the premium cloth. Perhaps if you did have the seats that attract more lint you would realize the significance of this problem.

First of all im just trying to help. as stated in previous post, some people were having problems with the cloth balling up wich was the same issue i had with my seats and i was stateing the fact that the dealership would replace the "balled up fabric" on the seat. second, if you would look in the picture you will clearly see that even those with dark titanium are experiencing lint build up.

i understand the TSB doesnt apply to Dark titanium seats, but like I said, I was only trying to help.

Sorry?

Hey, don't apologize. Some people may not appreciate your input, but I do. This topic is one that interestes a broad spectrum of GMT900 owners, not just a few.

Back on topic: I've all but given up on this one. Currently, I'm looking into going the Katzkin route. Enough of these lint balls. Even the replacement covers on the front seats do not resolve the issue.

i have complained to the dealer and called gm helpline about a dozen times. i too am frustrated. but i believe that we cannot give up on this issue. i checked with my dealer this morning, and still nothing.

Alright, Why are we still bitching about this and why can't we get something done.

Lets use the Internet to out advantage to advertize and pick up the phone to GM and start wake someone up..

I have Titanium seats and CANNOT afford leather. Besides, like I said earlier, I own a truck, why do I want a truck with vertually white seats. I still dont' have seat covers, however, I do have my el-cheapo towels.

Lets get the word around and start posting wake someone up.

I just bought my silverado. I noticed that the seats looked a little crappy. I didnt think anything of it but if it continues to get worst im going to go off the deep end.

Call and add your name to the list ASAP.

What list, what about an issue number. My name is on there, has been for 8 months, but if we can't all get together and head in the same direction, it's pointless doing anything other than sitting here and reading.

Not trying to offend anyone the problem is we are talking about two different problems, and with yours the solution may be to replace the seat covers. For those that have premium cloth the current solution is not to replace the seat covers, because you end up with lower grade fabric, plus GM doesn't officially have the parts available. (If you specifically guided your dealer to order the base fabric they might could get them that way.) From what I can see in your picture the "balling up" is not a lint problem but the fabric bunching at the bottom, least thats how I took it. Either way, I'm not fond of the solution to replace my premium cloth for the lower grade, if I wanted lower grade, I would not have paid extra for higher grade. I do agree that all the seats have the lint problem but the premium have it much worse in the center section.

No harm done, I think I might have misinturpreted what others ment by their fabric balling up. And I think we both can agree, my situation is hard proof that these seats all around suck.

Nonetheless these covers weather it be Low or High grade fabric is crap and gm needs to solve this problem.

Guys,Next time our GM service rep. is in I'm going to have to ask him whats going on with this issue.

I'm a patient person but this is ridiculous,Its been almost a year for me.

Why they can't use the same material as the '99-'07 "Classics" is beyond me.

when does he roll in rich?

My service director said he's due in Friday,I told him to let me know when he's here so I could ask him.

I think I have found my solution for this problem

http://www.jpcustoms.com/store/customer/pr...=770&page=1

I've hooked up with a Katzkin dealer out of Lubbock, Texas, and I can get a two row set of leather Katzkins for around $570 shipped. That includes a second color insert. I'm looking at dark graphite with red inserts and red stitching. Probably going to order next week. Local shop here wants $1500 with installation and won't sell without installation.

Dealer called me today. GM will not pop for leather, with me paying the difference. He also indicated the GM Rep told him it would be sometime this summer before replacements are available. If true, that's outrageous.
