Got The New Step Bars Installed!

Recommended Posts

Posted

Just got back from the dealer and put the steps on. Took me about an hour due to curious neighbours and the fact that I had no torque wrench --- which the neighbours did, so it worked out great!

Yes, I know my truck is dirty as heck. I'll be cleaning it this weekend.

Also, the pictures are a little distored because the camera took them in a huge format, which made the pictures about 3 megs each - so I had to resize them.

I like those steps the best. My neighbors are the same way, I'm like Jim the tool man to them.

Hahaha, one of my neighbours is a Tool and Die maker, one is a motorcycle mechanic, one works at GM and has a lot of tools, and another one builds/drives limos...he just finished building an H2 stretch limo. They all have tons of tools (even though I've got my own...they usually have the uncommon ones) and they all usually jump in to lend a hand - they just see me working outside and come on over! Haha. All my neighbours are like that. Just a neighbourhood filled with really good people ..I've got it made! Hahaha.

Haha, let me know how your steps turn out man!

Yeah, they are putting in sewers on my street (we have septic right now) and there is a lot of dust from them tearing up the road and digging. All of it seems to settle directly on my truck! Plus, I play soccer a lot, so after a game the truck tends to get dirty on the inside - especially if it was raining. The WeatherTech mats just come right out and wash off easy, so it saves me a ton of vacuuming. They are hard plastic/rubber so they hold up pretty good, and keep the water from soaking the carpet.
