It will be nice to finally be back behind the wheel of a GM truck. I had a '1978 GMC 1/2 ton 2WD step side, with a 350 and a 4 speed trans. when I was younger and have missed it for years now. The events leading up to my purchase included the total loss of my Chevy Impala from being rear ended by a E-350 seniors citizen bus and a back injury I'm dealing with now. I'm in the process of purchasing a, Victory Red, 2005 Silverado 1500 with 44K on it. Its a regular cab, short bed 4WD W/T. Its nothing fancy visually but is clean and has all the power train and suspension options I wanted. It equipped with the LM7 - 5.3L, Z85 - HD Suspension, G80 - Locking Rear Diff, VYU - Snow Plow Prep Pkg and the Z82 - HD Trailering Pkg, to name a few of the options. I'm planning on picking it up on Saturday. The dealer still has to throw on a set of new Goodyear SilentArmor tires. I'll post pictures when I pick her up.

I'm planning on a mild lift with torsion keys in the front and 3" blocks in the rear. But first up is a CAI (Volant), cat back exhaust (Gibson Dual Sport) and a tune. We've been using HP tuners on my brother-in-laws '01 Trans-Am WS6 for years now, so we're gonna pick up the software pack for my truck and go.

Just got back from the dealer and a lil hard drinkin to celebrate the new truck. All the papers are signed, the dealer is throwing on the new rubber tomorrow. As long as the bank clears the check tomorrow, I'll pick her up on Saturday. I'm pretty damn excited to get my truck. If I pick her up on Saturday I'll have pics posted that night.
