Hood Lamp Fuse?

Is there a fuse anywhere for the under hood lamp? The two ground wires had ripped off my hood, so i reconnected them tonight and the light still doesnt work...is there a fuse under the hood or in the dash for this??

anybody know about this? I couldnt seem to find anything labeled on the fuse boxes, but then again i dont understand all the abbreviations..

sorry. can't help u there. I have a '03. Mine doesn't have a underhood light.

should be the same fuse as your dome lights, etc. I pulled mine out the other day ( from the fuse box under the hood) and the hood lamp went dark, along with the other interior lights. mine is a 2002 - hope this helps...

Muhahahahaha, I don't have to worry about looking for a fuse for my non-existant underhood light.

ok cool. dome lights still work so i maybe its the bulb that went...

tap the thing with your finger and odds are it will start working....the entire assembly, not the bulb

when it doubt, hit the damn thing.

 

When I open my hood, the light doesn't usually come on until I give a good tap or two

Mine quit the other day. I figured the bulb had blown but it wasn't. I had to take it apart and clean the contacts.

Silly switch that used to be use before they just removed it was not so good. Bulb base doesn't like the underhood area either (corrosion). Tapping it works for a while. If you put a new bulb in it, coat the base with some dielectric grease to slow down the corrosion issue.

Check either stud 1 or 2 (forgot which) in your underhood

fuse center.

Just wanted to let u guys i know i took it apart and clean the contacts on the "slide" and that fixed her up nice.

Glad to hear it...Remember what you did to fix it cause we'll probably have to do it again in a year or two!!!
