I'd suggest the Wrangler Silent-Armor,or Wrangler AT/S if there still available in your size (The AT/S's are being phased-out and replaced by the Silent-Armors)

+1 for the silent armors. I just put a set of 275/65/18's on my truck (p rated) and I love them. Excellent off road traction, no slipping in the rain, and almost ZERO humming on the highway and they ride like a dream!

I just got these same tires last weekend. Good traction, quiet, smooth ride, and look great.

That looks bada$$... How loud are they?

Not bad. With the windows up and the radio on (not cranked up either), I barely notice the hum. I haven't tried leaving the windows down yet to see how it sounds.

I'm pretty pleased with these tires so far and they definitely stepped-up the aggressive look.

As promised, here are some pics of the new Goodyear DuraTracs on my truck. The size is 285/75/16 on 16x8 wheels.

They look great on your truck! I am considering the Duratrac in the same size for my 2500 Suburban. Are you still pleased with them after almost two months?

...while on the subject of goodyear tires what do you guys think of Eagle GT II 285/50R20. I got a good deal on a set of 20 inch pro comp xtreme alloys 6009 series wheels and i am looking to put these tires on them. Thoughts suggestions ?

Answer: I just removed a set of Goodyear GT IIs from my 1993 Z28. They had 99,600 miles on them with 4/32 tread left. They were purchased in 1999. The dealer said I could have driven them a little further altho some dry rot was evident. I would have bought a replacement set same tire except they no longer make the 16-inch size. THAT tire was the best tire I ever had.

how much gas mileage did you use when you went from your stock 265 to these?

Great tire. I have a few buddies with duratracs. Great in the mud and surprisingly really long lasting tire. A lot longer compared to my Mickey atz.

Yuck, useless tires. I actually drive in mud, snow, gravel, pavement unlike most people I see posting about them. Useless on ice completely and terrible in snow, slip and slide just as bad in mud as any other all terrain I have ever had, and loud on the highway. The more they wear, the louder they get too. Oh and then they love to cup too regardless of rotation schedule.......

Not to mention on 2 different trucks with 2 different sets of Duratracs with around 30000 miles on the tires I had one blow and split sidewall to sidewall. Funny because in neither instance did I hit anything with the tire prior to it blowing apart. There are much better all terrain tires on the market than those things.

I had a set of 325/65R18s and loved em... I have heard lots of mixed reviews, but overall i was pleased. for $1700 a set, these are not the cheapest, however Im quite satisfied with the service my local goodyear provides.

i've only had mine for about 8,000km so I can't provide much of a review, but very pleased in the snow and ice and noise isn't noticeable with my Corsa exhaust. I do know that there are a hell of a lot of people running these tires in this province and I've personally seen trucks get 70,000km and up to over 90,000km on a set of these tires (with adequate rotation schedules) before replacing them.

20000km on mine. Best tires I've owned. Once you get then balanced properly that is. Not loud and are great in mud n snow

Did you get your tires from Goodyear Dealer, or other source? I'm looking at getting these tires too they are just so expensive...
