Seatabelt Dinger

Easiest way would be to get a seat belt latch from a vehicle out of the junk yard and plug it in. Or just a piece of heavy plastic the same as the latch and plug it in.

Pretty sure since seat belts are a federal thing, you can't turn off the warning with a programmer of any sort, just like TPMS. If you don't want to use a fake latch, you could find the wires and either unplug the connector that's under the seat somewhere or you might have to unplug it under the seat and short the wires together with a splice.

Have you ever heard the phrase "Deceleration Trauma" Thats whats going to happen to your body when you hit something or someone hits you. You will be ejected from your vehicle with deadly consequences.

Wear you seabelt always.

The issue since about 1975, when dingers were mandatory, and, at that time, permanent - they dinged from the time started until you buckled the belt. No pauses, just DING-DING-DING. No they aren't so obtrusive, unless driving without a belt. I am sure you can defeat it somehow, but, it appears, nobody here has bothered, or is willing to admit it. Four miles? Driving out of the garage, around the parking lot, I understand. Four miles? Just say you don't want to wear seat belts and be done with it.

Who cares if someone wears their seltbelt. All those who prescribe to Darwin's theory of evolution know what I mean :)

I always wear my seatbelt, but I'd unplug the chime if there was one. I don't like people controlling me.

Aftermarket radio without the chimes adapter would do it...Idiot light will come on but other than that no noise.

4 miles or around the block, it's not worth not buckling up. Even a small crash at 15MPH would be enough to bounce you around even with an airbag deployment.

Here in WA, the fine for no seat belt is $122 and is a primary offense. You can get stopped just for no belt. And passengers not wearing a seat belt get their own ticket. At night, the police use night vision equipment to catch seatbelt violators.

And I would bet that you insurance company may have problems with claims if you were in an accident and not wearing a belt. If anything, a ticket would raise rates.

As far as the chime system in the NBS trucks, isn't the same chime used for all audible warnings? Lose the seat belt one and they all go away.

Wow, they must be hardcore. I have never heard of a cop possessing night vision equipment besides the onboard dash cam...

I don't know why people go off on a tangent talking about whether or not to wear your seat belt, it really does not answer your question. What brims said is your best option:
