From the owner manual Sierra hd 2025 6.6 gas how to check engine oil level :
To get an accurate reading, park the vehicle
on level ground.
Check the engine oil level
after the engine has been off for at least
two hours.
Checking the engine oil level
on steep grades or too soon after engine
shutoff can result in incorrect readings.
Accuracy improves when checking a cold
engine prior to starting. Remove the
dipstick and check the level.
So, according to you, Riddler, with the engine cold we should aim for the low mark on the dipstick, and the high mark when the engine is at operating temperature? So you’re saying the engine oil expands by a quart... humm... I guess that's something GM dont know
I own a 2014 Silverado LT std cab, std bed. My only option to replace it is the work truck. I've spent some time on the GM build and price trying to figure out if I can get something I'd be happy with. I think I have. The only 2 things I'm seeing I can't get is remote start and power drivers seat. Looks i can get remote start after market. Any thoughts on this appreciated. Here's a pic of the build from GM's build site.
