fjtort2
Thinking about doing a tune on my 2015 6.0. Just around 40,000 miles. Truck has been flawless. I wanna keep it that way. Just dislike the limp, lazy shifts. Does a tune really help on these 6.0s? The tuning company i'm interested in will be in town mid July. I want to keep it as relieable as possible. Thanks! runsdeep
^^ Been thinking about a tune also, I have around 19k miles, been a flawless truck so far What about the warranty if a tune is installed? I'm sure it will effect it. Let us know what you get, price & how much better it runs & drives. Gary
O_J_Simpson
Tune always helps. You can have a tune or a warranty. Pick one.

I know it made a difference with my old 01 with cai and exhaust. but the warranty thing is hard choice. How much do you tow etc. thanks for the help! The biggest noticeable difference is the transmission tuning. Much smoother. Downshift when needed. Pulling up the mountains feels like it pulls stronger. If you watch the Fast Lane towing videos the biggest problem is transmission tuning which is now solved with the tune.
JCHaynie
I plan on getting a Black Bear tune in the near future. I have heard nothing but good things about them. What tune are you looking to get?

Personally id rather have firmer harder and quicker shifts. Not smoother. But thats just me. Truck is still pretty new only 5000km. LOL. Ill wait for a bit more break in. But im sure there is room to wake it up some with a tune!! Did you get Lew to do a couple custom tunes or are you nearby etc. Thanks again!! JCHaynie
Yea I wish I could find someone a little closer that could give me a good tune. Black Bear travels around and occasionally they get within driving distance of me. I am just waiting on the right time now.

SMiller
My wife's Yukon has the same drivetrain and I had it tuned, night and day difference, I would never go back!
No F-bdy Bs
If anyone lives near San Antonio, check with NELSON PERFORMANCE He has tuned my last 3 trucks, and well as a GTO I owned. Good guy, knows his $shit, easy to talk to.
Spooky427
What is the warranty issue? Can you not remove the tune? The only experiance I have had was a super chips programer in my 7.3 ford. That one I could go back and forth if needed. Scott
