picked up a K&N intake (the plastic one) for $50 on market place and installed it. ill be swapping out the filter for the dry one asap but for now it sounds AWESOME. I have the 6.2 and its silent when cruising but great sound when giving it some go. bought it purely as a noise maker and dont feel/expect any gains.3 points

I hauled 1200lbs of concrete tonight. All the bags were stacked to the rear of the rear axle, so this is almost the worst case scenario: 1450lbs out of my 1660lb max payload. I’m very happy with the minimal squat with my setup. Front: Bilstein 6112 on the 4th notch 1.875” Rear: Bilstein 5100 with 1” taller block (2.25”)3 points

If your 2019 looks like a 2018, its a Silverado "LD" aka Silverado "Legacy" model. You can look up as a 2018, but the official Chevrolet Accessories site can pull it all up properly with or without a VIN: https://accessories.chevrolet.com/search?year=2019&make=Chevrolet&model=Silverado 1500 LD&modelId=27208&body=Extended Cab Pickup&bodyId=18&wheel=Standard Box&wheelId=132&trim=LT&trimId=430&drive=4WD&driveId=8&engine=5.3L V8 FLEX&engineId=2059&bodyNumDoors=5 Aftermarket companies is where I can see confusion happening. As LDM pointed out, the 2019 "LD" trucks were produced to keep truck inventory on hand during the body style changeover. GM even ran 2018 crew cab 1500s all the way to December 2018 because the 2019 new trucks weren't hitting dealers until April-May 2019. The 2019 "LD" are all double cab only and were made to again keep a double cab configuration on the lots until they ramped up the T1 double cabs. This is not the first time GM has done this either. They did it in 2007 with the launch of the GMT-900. You could get a 2007 "Classic" which were GMT-800 trucks, and the same in 1999 and 2000 during the GMT-400 to GMT-800 changeover. People get mad at me on the phone when I ask them what body style 2007 they have when pulling up parts for one. They don't seem to grasp that it makes a big difference.2 points

Yeah, I use the back buttons a lot too. I think it’s safe to assume all 2020 GMCs have the back buttons...every one I’ve seen has them, even on SLE trim (like the mule). Maybe it’s a Chevy thing now. Have to step up to professional grade to get the back buttons.1 point

looks like they use AC delco.....not too excited about the "brand" but it will do. Jim Trenary Chevrolet Offers Service & Part Specials in O'Fallon.pdf1 point

Took mine in for the free oil change and was pleasantly surprised by the dealer I plan to return for future oil changes they quoted me $59 for full synthetic and tire rotation on my 1500 6.2 I usually do all my own basic maintenance but at that price i will let them do it.1 point

If you had the HMI unlocked, don’t forget to get this camera harness. https://harnessdr.com/product/2014-2015-silverado-sierra-reverse-camera-adapter-harness/ it’s awesome being able to check out what’s behind you while you’re driving. Check on your trailer, tailgaters, or even if you forgot if you put your tailgate up. ?1 point

That's classic GM decontenting for you. They aren't the only ones to do it, just the best (or worst). They'll tell you "you can still get lock/unlock buttons on the rear door, you just have to move up to an LTZ/SLT or higher trim."1 point

Get new upper control arms whatever kit you buy since you'll be at 3.5" with your TB. Not worth the risk to end up with a broken upper on these trucks.1 point

I calculated the mileage from the actual fuel I put in the tank and the display was right on.1 point

You can get either a Diablew or Blackbear tune for around $600 or less. I would honestly just save your money until you’re ready to go that route. You’ll be glad you did. Those handheld tuners can only do so much. I’ve had a Blackbear tune on my 2015 for a couple months now. My mods are longtubes and Air raid CAI. The drivability of the truck is so much better then stock. The truck gets off the line so much smoother, shifts are firm and predictable. I don’t really hot rod the truck but you can feel the added power when you get on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

No issues here. Biggest issue us that with the tint and the stupid bright screen when in reverse the light blinds me and tends to reflect off my tint1 point

So, a new to you truck, sounds like a variety of electrical problems, not specific to the radio, so I would suggest checking all the fuses, both underhood and in cab, then going through power and ground connections, removing, cleaning, reattaching them. But expect it to be a hassle to find, as most likely the P.O. ditched it because they couldn't figure out where the problem was and didn't want to spend the money on someone else to find it.1 point

Meanwhile Ford just gave their basic work truck XL models with the 3.3 a 10 speed as well . Gotta love the Corp games/cheapness GM plays. DUMB is a great word that was used above Ford brings out an actual Jeep fighter and does not tarnish the Bronco name and GM gives us a watered down mommy cruiser mall Blazer/Trail Blazer . GM Sticks the wheezy 3.6 truck engine in their Caddy XT6 while the base engine of its main competitor the Lincoln Aviator gets a 415 HP Twin Turbo V6 I love GM just as much as anyone on here but some stupid decisions being made .1 point

I made it home yesterday afternoon with the new truck. The trip home was 15 1/2 hours driving 1407 kilometres or 875 miles. Other than a flat tire the trip was uneventful. The truck burnt 9.0 litres of fuel every 100 kilometres or 26.1 miles per gallon. I stopped to fill the fuel tank half way but I'm pretty sure it would have made the trip on one tank. I'm very happy with my purchase its the first GM product I have owned in a lot of years. Its very quiet at highway speeds and everything in the cab is nicely laid out.1 point

Got my ceramic done today. 20 on front windows and 55 over factory tint and windshield. Guy has been in business 20 years and told me he covers the dash in an absorbent mat and crams a soak rope between the dash and windshield glass. Says it’s the only way to do it safely. Rang water out of that soak rope when finished. Short drive home with no noticeable flaws.1 point

I don't recommend factory intervals when it comes to.. well most of the stuff. Tranny fluid I have flushed every 30,000 miles, Front/Rear Diff every.. well 30,000 miles after I do it at the first 10,000 miles.. unless I drive in water up to the axles, then it gets changed right after- Transfer Case every 15,000-20,000 miles, (It gets used a lot) Coolant I do every 5 years or 60,000 miles but I am getting more lax on that as the methods of testing the coolant PH and other levels are better.. Power steering fluid.. every 75,000 miles. Spark Plugs every 70,000 miles if they are rated for 100,000 miles.. Why? Because it is called preventative maintenance. I take issue with extended drain intervals on things like oil (going 15,000-20,000 miles) and tranny fluid, the weakest links on vehicles. It pays in the long run to service them often if you want to keep the vehicle past 100,000 miles. Yeah yeah yeah, plenty of examples of "Well my truck is at 150,000 miles and never a problem!" but there are also plenty of examples of "Why did my transmission let go at 100,000 miles?" or "Why do I have so much engine noise when I am using extended life oil and oil filters?"1 point

I was finally able to order these and install the same weekend, after daaaays of deciding between these Go Rhino RB20s or the NFab Podiums. Im glad I went with these Go Rhinos since its flat all the way through and that helps me wash and clean the top part of the truck without needing to watch my footing as much. The texture feels just like the line-x I have in the bed of my truck which I had done a few days after installing these boards. I tried to take pics of all angles and I think theyre badass!!1 point

Got the new wheels and tires on. No rubbing, very happy with how they look and feel smoother than the stock tires. Hard to believe but I weighed the old wheels and tires and the new, and they are both 78lbs. 20200720_183533 by Rob Malaguti, on Flickr IMG_3574 by Rob Malaguti, on Flickr IMG_3611 by Rob Malaguti, on Flickr IMG_3584 by Rob Malaguti, on Flickr1 point

Thats a pretty cool feature in my opinion... My trailer doesn't have TPMS sensors, do you have to get certain ones to sync to the truck?1 point

Finally upgraded the radio and HMI in my 2014 Silverado. I had considered doing it for awhile, but when Indiana law changed to require hands free operation it forced me to go ahead and do it. I dont like mounts on my dash and always missed CarPlay in my truck. Chris White and White Automotive Media, if its more than just him, couldn't have been more helpful. I considered buying the modules from them and they helped me weigh the pros and cons. Ultimately, I rolled the dice on ebay after I found a few deals, but didnt change the level of customer service I received there which really says something about the company. Still a risk as I dont have a warranty, but I was fully aware of that when I went that route. They were still extremely helpful throughout and got my modules turned around quick. I couldn't be happier with my transaction end to end and will be considering the Denali cluster in the future! Dont be afraid to give these guys a shout! https://www.whiteautoandmedia.com/product/2014-2015-5-c-k-platform-car-play-upgrade-retrofit-programming/ Also, for anyone on the fence about pulling/swapping the modules, it isnt hard. I grabbed these interior tools on Amazon, and probably didnt need them, but always meant to get a set. I have scratched plastics in other cars using screwdrivers. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KXN7LE6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Here is video I used as a primer for the swap, its really easy. You dont need to do everything that was in that video depending on what your upgrade was. Mine was just the radio and HMI.1 point

Just had front end PPF done on my new '19 Sierra and the detailer added a round of Feynlab Ceramic Lite. Looks real good. Only had a week or so, so can't comment on longevity, but the couple of storms we've had this week, the aquaphobic properties were obvious and better than anything I'd ever been able to achieve with wax before. Looking forward to see how easy she is to wash next weekend. Sent from my SM-G973W using Tapatalk1 point

Thanks for the compliments guys. Wheels are OE Creations 2019 GM style PR196 22" chrome and distributed by Wheelpros. I had them shipped to my local wheel dealer. These are real chrome plated and not PVD spray chrome. Fit and finish on these wheels are flawless and balanced out perfect with very little weight. Tires are Michelin Premier LTX and ride beautifully. The wheels are available in 20" or 22" in chrome, satin black and gloss black. I replaced my stock 18's with this combination.1 point

Fresh detail on the truck and trailer. Did a 300+ mile trip yesterday with a 7k foot elevation gain. There’s a 10 mile stretch where 3k of that happens on a 6% grade. Truck stayed at 2k RPMs and 60 MPH (I didn’t notice any gear changing with the 10 speed). Transmission fluid only heated up a few degrees even with AC on. Night and day difference over my 1500. Trailer is just over 8k lbs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point
