  1. Hope all goes well with your dad! Tell him to take it easy. I cleaned up the garage. Got all the spiders out and sprayed Ortho Home Defense. That stuff works well but only for about three months and then you have to reapply. Keeps the bugs out at least.
  2. Does not include tow mirrors. What is the point of getting the rest of it if you can't see around your trailer.
  3. It doesn't list towing mirrors either. Which I find odd.
  4. For the amount of fluid that the T case takes and how easy it is to change why not change it out every 50k? Not like it is going to break the bank and like I said, it is super easy to do. Take care of your vehicle and it will take care of you. I know the manual states a longer interval but in reality one doesn't drive "normal" service much anymore in my book. The coolant change out is 150k miles or five years which ever comes first. We will hit the time factor on that before we hit the mileage at only putting 22k miles on a year.
  5. Not a problem and I understand. I do offer a GM-T discount so if you are still interested in AMSOIL in the future let me know.
  6. You have to have a sensor to get the full benefits of running E85. Otherwise the ECU has no way of knowing what fuel you are running to make changes to the fuel map.
  7. The only problem you might run into is a lean code if you run 100% all the time and really get on the throttle. The ECU does not accommodate for the ethanol in the system since it can't detect it and so will not change you fuel map to do so. The kit is well worth it and the tune will really wake up the truck. To me it is well worth the cost and I'm going to convert our 16 Suburban over to E85. Not to mention E85 here is $2.16 a gallon and premium is $3.26. So even with the lower mpg I get I'm still ahead on miles per gallon cost.
  8. Just a thought, but if someone is willing to do a total transmission fluid exchange on their 8sp to see if it clears things up using AMSOIL's fluid. Send me a PM with your name, email, phone number and UPS delivery address and I will send enough fluid for the dealer to do a complete fluid exchange basically 16qts. Of course the dealer will state that it would not help or will not be covered under warranty. They tend to do that if you don't use GM fluid. Since you guys are already having an issue I don't see how this will hurt and might help since it is a higher quality fluid than what GM puts in their transmissions. I can only send to one person to see if this might work. I can't be giving away free fluid to everyone. So who ever sends me their info, has posted in this thread their issues and will do this and share the results on here I'll send it to you. An entire fluid exchange needs to be done. Not just a pan drop and filter change. Both need to be accomplished. I would take it that this fluid exchange will cost you the labor to have it done along with the pan drop and filter change. So you would have to be willing to spend that extra cash, but at least the fluid would be free. (A $240 retail cost of the fluid) Also when you have it done ask for the empty containers back. So you know, or hope that they did use the fluid. Better yet, if you can watch them do it would be cool. I can here at my dealership. It all depends on your dealer and what they will allow in the maintenance bay. Here are the specs of the fluid. It meets GM DEXRON* VI, DEXRON* HP AMSOIL ATL
  9. Just an FYI, but I'm running AMSOIL's SS 0w-20 in my 2002 Silverado with the 5.3 right now with no issues. The truck has 183k miles on it and no consumption. I don't see any mpg difference but then I'm not really trying to get better mpg by the way I drive and running E85.
  10. Yes if you weld them up or cut them off the sound will be louder.
  11. Here is the link to the 2019 owners manual
  12. Nothing. The fact that they let the exhaust flow out to me would seem that it doesn't make a difference. It still allows the exhaust to flow more freely than a traditional resonator. No back pressure.
  13. Any way to cut weight. It is way behind the cab so no issues there. Just wonder if you can hear a hissing sound coming from them at all?
  14. The Resonance Free Pipe (RFP) takes the place of a traditional resonator with much less weight and bulk. Some vehicle applications however still use resonators. An RFP works by venting a small amount of gas through the mesh in the pipe to break up standing waves which cause resonance in longer pipe sections. One tuning valve is used on the 5.3L L84 and two tuning valves are used on the 6.2L L87.
  15. Yes, the 2019 front suspension is completely different.

  17. For the 5.3 and 6.2 it is 8qts. The 4.3 and the new 4 cylinder it is 6qts.
  18. Because it changes the entire way the vehicle is rated to tow. I'm sure there are other reasons but this is all I can think of. Hey, my mom lives in Windber and my Aunt and Uncle have Conjelkos Ice and Dairy store there on Graham Ave.
  19. I wouldn't think that the farmers and construction workers would agree. If it wasn't for them you would not have food on the table or businesses to work/shop out of. Try taking a RAM with dynamic spoilers and is low to the ground out in a field to fix a tractor or other piece of farm equipment, especially after a heavy rain. Not everyone buys a truck to use as a daily driver.
  20. From what I have been told there is a 2" lift kit that you can purchase from GM now to have installed on your new 2019 truck. The kit includes the necessary programing to the electric power steering and to reconfigure the front camera module. So at least now those that want to put a small lift on their truck and still have it covered under warranty can do so. Just not sure on what size tires you can go with. Probably nothing bigger than what is now offered on the Trail Boss and AT4.
  21. Yes, synthetics have been around a long time. Even before 1972. It is that AMSOIL was the first to market an API certified synthetic. No other manufacture at the time had an API certified one. AMSOIL's Signature Series is a group IV PAO, their OE and XL are group III. So the Signature Series ATF and ATL (dexron VI and HP) is a full PAO based synthetic, the OE, ATF and ATL are group III, thus the lower cost for these products.
  22. Interesting. My Cruze diesel trans temp runs at 225°F. I changed it out to AMSOIL when I got it used at 15k. I just did another change out at 55k miles. Looks like I was on the money for fluid life although I did do a UOA on it and it came back looking good.
  23. We have had issues with out 2016 Suburban MyLink as well. Are you still under warranty? If so take it in. I have had ours in several times and until a software update comes out to fix our issue. They extended the warranty on our MyLink to 120k miles and out to 2023.
