Leveling Kit For 07 Nbs Sierra? Which One?

Ok I have a 2007 sierra slt and I am going to put 22's with a 305/40/22 tire....i was thinking about putting a level kit on the front and getting the 305/45/22? will they fit with a 2" or 1.5" leveling kit for the front? Also I heard that going with coil spacers are the way to go.. i really dont want to put the torsion keys on... what kit is the best for the money with the coil spacers? also I have heard a little bit about different kinds of coil kits ..like a spacer that goes on the bottom and one that goes on the top? so if anyone has dont this to their truck please let me know the best options for the tire sizes and lift brands and quality. thanks jeremy

I'm running the Rough Country 2" leveling kit on my 09 Sierra. It levels it out real nice makes it look so much better than stock! I'm planning on running 285/70/17 when I get the money . Dunno about your wheels if they will rub or not someone else will have to tell you

Don't go more than 2 inches in the front or you'll be buying new upper control arms soon when the ball joints die. Yes the front will be slightly lower than the rear.

Thats because the kit isn't in the picture. I took that picture before I had it installed so its still stock in that one. Hopefully getting a new picture up soon!

ok so i think im going to do the 2" but which are easier to put on? the lower coil or upper coil spacers?

I have the 2" RC kit on my truck. Like them alot, went with the lower one's but i hear that either ways isn't to bad.

Tough Country...$160 for front strut spacers and rear add-a-leafs or blocks, your choice.

I have the 2" RC kit on my truck too, 2007 no tire wear issues either I did take to the dealers and have them do an alignment right after I installed it I even told the alignment guy what I put on. Not that he would not have spotted it

the 2 inch level kit is the best bang for the buck

Yes, anything that lifts the front end without correcting ball joint angles (control arm angles) will have the same effect on the balljoints; as well as the tie rods if they are not accounted for and the CV angles if the differential is not dropped.

 

But, a good point made in another post about the Bilsteins is that when you get a "leveling spacer" you limit your suspension travel by the amount of "lift" because the suspension can not compress past the spacer.... with those Bilsteins, they advertise that you get the 2" increased ride height but do not lose 2" of travel

I believe it's that a Bilstein 5100 allows the suspension to extend (up) the additional height (2.5" I believe) and allows it to compress to the original bottoming stops.

 

With the Bilstein 5100, there are four height settings: stock, plus about 13/16", plus about 1 5/8", and plus about 2 1/2". Given all the chatter around here about ball joint issues and my personal desires on ride height, I chose the first height setting above stock; plus about 13/16". You can't notice a height difference visually, but the rake is somewhat less. What I was really after in this mod was getting rid of the bounce and controlling the truck better. The stock shocks were junk and allowed the truck to bounce out of controll at freeway speeds... Dangerously, in my opinion.

I have the readylift 2.25" kit installed on my '07. This one has a spacer on top of the strut and a small one on the bottom shock mount. I believe I can take the lower one out without alignment from what I understand. I did notice that the upper control arm moved down quite a bit, definitely limiting the amount of downward travel. Is this normal? Looks to me like a factor of alignment and the spacer?
