Thinking About Gettting A 2008

Hi all,

I'm going to look at a 2008 Silvy W/T 4X4 auto with the 4.3L anything good/bad about these setups? It has 9XXX miles on it. I don't do any heavy towing. I like the 4X4. I wish it was a manual but the auto is good too. They want 20K for it and it's a regular cab short bed. I'm going to check it out this Saturday so..........Thanks!

rcsb would be nice. i know the 4.3 is a very good motor, something like 220hp

Oh yeah, forgot to mention it's victory red too! ~

I might be crazy but 20k for a V6 work truck seems high.

I think you could probably find a 2009 on the lot and get the incentives for it to cost less and get 0% financing.

I just bought a 2006 Crew Cab 2LT 4x4 5.3L with 59k miles on it for 17,900. Truck prices are pretty low these days, especially used. Don't know about Colorado but in Michigan where I bought mine they were a dime a dozen.

I hope you mean Holy Heck that was a good deal I got .

I honestly am not sure. I shopped at a few dealerships and that was the best truck at the best price. Private owners wouldn't take trades sadly .

Im not saying you didnt get a good deal, it all depends on the market at the time you got your truck. when I got mine the market was really bad, it was spring time 4x4 prices were down, and if i would have waited another month I could have got a 2009 for the same price with my discounts.

My father-in-law could not believe we were going to pay that much for a used truck, he thought we were crazy, I told him a used car is only worth what you are willing to pay for it, if I didnt think it was worth the price I would not buy it. If you are happy with your price and your truck then you did good, nothing more to it!

I have seen 2006's in the paper for has much as 22k, now i think that is to high.

look at my truck.

i paid 20k for it with 24k miles on it and its LT tx edition with a 5.3 v8, bed liner, factory warranty plus 5 year warranty, etc.

i dont think 20k is a good deal for a reg cab 6cyl even if it only has 9k miles on it... even with 4x4..

should shop around a little more..

hit up autotrader and see what else you can find.

Yup, you're right KBB says 18775 for it, maybe I won't go look at it.

Go look at it, but bring a print off from KBB and show them....then start negotiating for a better price.

theres no way anyone will pay 20,000 for a WT reg cab short bed v6. the dealership must be crazy. its worth probably 13,500 at least around me.

i got an amazing deal on my silverado. i got it for 11,000. it had 43k miles and it was in perfect condition. got it from a private seller who was some old man

WAY WAY HIGH!!!!

I would buy a 4.3....in an S-10

The 5.3 will get the same mileage as a 4.3 in a fulsize truck.

It's really possible that truck sold new for less than $20k. My 2008 CCSB LTZ was about $13-14k off sticker during the latter part of 2008. I saw W/T RCSB's very very cheap.
