My fuzzy math seems to put you at over 100 gallons of fuel per week and only about 300 miles (sorry I'm not good with km). If your engine were getting that much gasoline I'm pretty sure it would not run at all. Maybe you have a severe leak somewhere???

Did you mean /week or /month. 70 km/day = 215 miles per week assuming you drive 5 days/week. Assume at least 15 miles per gallon and that's 14 gallons of gas per week at 2.50 a gallon and it's only $38 bucks per week. That's still way too much per month. 32

' tires would not be enough to throw you off that much. You should bring it in to a dealer immediately as something is seriously F'd with your truck.

When was the last time you cleaned your MAF sensor and throttle body? Changed your spark plugs? Ran SeaFoam in your gas? Changed your PCV (if not fixed orifice)?

If I did the math correctly you are driving 347 miles per week and it is costing you $400.00+

At $4.00 per gallon that would be 100 gallons of fuel.

347 Miles/100 Gallons =3.47 Miles Per Gallon.

Please Sell That Truck As Quickly As You Can.

My 03 with 33's still gets in the high teens.

no leak that i can see or smell but it could be an option because my truck as of about two weeks ago is air locking worst than anything ive ever seen yesterday alone i put 50 bucks in my pickup and set my trip got about 130km

So how was the mileage before the tires went on?

How is the truck running?

Is the Check Engine Light On?

When you let off the gas, does the truck coast or does it feel like the brakes are on?

What year truck/engine do you have? That's 3 miles per gallon. Your name isn't Dan Runte by any chance is it? This truck of yours go by the name Bigfoot?

Put stock tires/wheels back on, or sell the truck and get Chevy Aveo (5 speed manual transmission).

Only thing I can think of is maybe he was exaggerating how bad his fuel economy is. :P

Either way, I would buy a small, fuel efficient car as my daily driver and keep my truck for the weekends and hauling stuff. That's my recommendation to the op. There's a lot of cheap used cars out there.

Yeah if he is getting 3 mpg I think the truck would be flooded with fuel all the time, You sure someone isnt stealing your gas out of the tank? This just doesnt seem right at all.

Even my 16,000 lb 6X6 deuce and half gets at least 5 MPG.

Maybe his brake calipers are dragging badly?

Milage before on truck was fairly good for a v8 truck but now extremly bad

Truck runs great except when truck is cold every now and then it sputters like something sick then after i pump the gas a few times truck is fine

Yes check engine light is on has been since i purchased it previous owner was the only owner of this truck and was an older man inspection slip said check gas cap sensor was the cause

When i lift my foot off the gas it does coast but not as well as did before tires but would expect that from the extra weight of the tires?
