just wondering what kind of insurance everyone has and get an idea if someone is trying to buy this truck, of what they might expect to pay.. or maybe help save money on your insurance.

type of truck: [GMT-900] 2007 silverado crew cab (bank has title :P)

age: 22

driving record:few tickets here and there

state: texas

insurer: state farm auto

coverage: full coverage with rental reimbursement, underinsured and a $500 deductible

premium: $643 for six months.. roughly $107/month

i know there are many other variables, but this should give a good idea for anyone trying to get a fullsize. i dont make many threads so this might be a horrible idea for a thread.. i just figure it might help. plus y'all might be getting way better deals than me so I might need to look elsewhere other than state farm because my policy is up in may.

type of truck: 2006 Z71 Crew

age: 25

driving record:Heavy on the gas p.s.-Did anyone know reckless driving is a misdemeanor in VA either? lol

state: Virginia

insurer: Nationwide

coverage: full coverage with rental and towing coverage and everything else Nationwide offers including my wheels, tires, and all stereo equipment with $100 deductible on comprehensive

premium: $576 every 6 months which boils down to $96/month. Turning 25, being married and carrying all other insurances through nationwide is what helps to keep my rates down--no other company can touch their rates for me And I think I have the best insurance agent on the planet

Maybe under the type of truck, put

GMT-900 for current body style (07.5-11)

or

GMT-800 for 99-07 body style

"Full Coverage" is a broad term and unless the coverage level is included the rates are not very descriptive. Here in MI typical bodily injury coverage is $100k per person, $300k per occurrance with $1 million property protection insurance per occurrence.

now now, in MI, you are suppose to say PL/PD :P.

In MI, the 1,000,000 personal is really a joke most of the time. Another joke (IMO) is the MCCA fee and the separate statutory fee.

2004 Mustang GT, 1990 Dakota, 2006 Sierra:

Was paying $208/month for $35k/$70k/$1000 deductible. Now I at $185/month for $50k/$100k/$500 deductible plus roadside assistance and rentals.

Military, in my early 30's, and my vehicles are all garaged in Virginia. Louisiana costs too much to keep vehicles down here. :P

what? 315 every 6 months? where do you live?

40-50 miles south of Chicago. Just south of the suburbs lol. Idk what the normal rate would be, but I know mine is less because Travelers cuts you a break on every 5th vehicle on the same policy. Since everything is on my dad's policy, it paid off to be the youngest and last to get a vehicle. Lol I was never so happy to hear something was going to be $315.

State Farm Insurance here. Very well covered full coverage is about 600 bucks a year on my GMT900.

oh your on your dads policy, that makes sense then. I'm 22, with a 2005 crew cab, and ive got a quote from almost every insurance place out there, and geico is the cheapest at 652 every 6 months. Im currently in the process of building my house, im living with my parents right now, but since i got laid off i ran out of money, and the banks wont give me any more to finish it, so once i get it built and live in it my insurance will go down, but until then im stuck paying the 120 a month! :P
