Im just bored and trying to kill time, and just curious what everyone does to buy the shit that they want and to bring the food and beer home. I currently build and design control panels for lease sites and gas plants. We range from building any cable you want almost to small junction boxes to a plc thats 8' high to 8' wide. During the summer on slow time for us i locate underground pipelines just to keep income coming in. but Ive been doing eletrical since i graduated high school

I'm a computer programmer that writes matlab and other types of programs for electical engineering use. The software that I write allows users to enter a set of electrical supplies and enter a set of electical needs and makes up a diagram that accounts for backup generators and electrical control boxes. I usually write these programs in matlab or C++ GUI for ease of uses on any windows computer. Right now, I'm working out of Savannah, Ga.

I'm a Cisco certified Unified Communications Professional(CCVP). I do VoIP installs for large enterprise companies. We installed a Telepresence unit at a local college today. You've probably seen one on 24. It's a high definition video conferencing unit that delivers life like video so the person on the other end actually appears to be in the room with you. They are expensive but companies end up saving ton of money on travel costs and the executives get to spend more time at home.

I have my own business and am my own boss. We do all the work even the Mexicans won't do, and then some. Yes, my truck is needed for my job on a daily basis.

We do the entire construction job from consultation to final product, whether it be a new roof, siding, windows, remodel, doors, dirt work, dumpsters. etc. etc. etc.......you know the drill.......it's getting rough out there with all the laid off "career" people taking our jobs for beer and smokes money.

And also because of having a new family (married last year and baby on the way) I also run my own consulting business on the side. I do anything from advertising to your taxes! :D

Still in school getting my MS in Mechanical Engineering. My focus has been primarily on thermal energy and heat transfer as it relates to combustion. I plan to graduate in December and hopefully continue to work in combustion performance and emissions for a major diesel engine manufacturer. Currently all my income comes from being a graduate assistant working with the students who design and build the Formula SAE open wheel race car. I focus mostly on engine intake and exhaust design and optimization as well as engine tuning for the team.
