Weathertech Floor Mats

Was noticing a few of you guys had "WeatherTech" floor mats.... I saw them also at my dealer the other day... $149 for the front set, and $159 for the whole back seat area.... $310 for FLOOR MATS?! Holy crap, are they really all they're cracked up to be? So I checked out the WeatherTech Canada website, and they were about $259 (tax in) for the set shipped to my house.

Currently I have the GM "all-weather" mats from the dealer... but they're not the greatest, and can forsee snow/mud run-off the sides onto the carpet...

Opinions?

Yes they are, but those prices are outrageous.

Check out cabelas.com

They are branded under the trailgear 2 but are made by and are the same as weathertech. They even ship in weathertech boxes. I think my front and floor liners were less than $200.

I had husky liners in my 2000 and I have them in my 2008 Tahoe. I have the weathertechs in my 2010 silverado and like them better because they stay in place better.

Wow, thanks!

At Cabela's... Its US$179 for the SET!

Good thing I'm road-tripping down to the states next week, I think I'll be making a stop!

They dont always have them in the store (call ahead?) but you can order online and have them sent to the store for no additional shipping costs

great thanks again. And I'll be staying more than 48 hrs, so I can actually bring stuff back across duty-free lol

The under-the-backseat storage bins are avail there too... but are like $40-50 MORE than the GM Accessories one from the dealer. Weird.

I had Husky floor liners in my '02 YukonXL, and decided to try Weathertech for my current truck.

Weathertech for sure! Much better fit.

I still think that's too much for floor mats.

Well I agree.. I was more expressing surprise at the price difference between Cabela's and the WeatherTech site. Unfortunately, I currently HAVE the cheaper alternatives, and am not entirely impressed..

I never really paid much attention to floor mats. Whatever came with the truck usually did the trick or I would pick up something cheap at the auto store. This time I decided to give the weather tecs a try. While the price made me pucker a little initially, in the long run I am happy with the purchase. They fit well, don't slide around, clean easily, and have proven to be very durable. I also like the way they overlap on to the door sill. This eliminates that line of dirty carpet I used to get between normal mats and the sill. The over lap also makes it a bit easier to dump or do a quick sweep of the mats. I don't have enough experience to say there are no better mats out there. I can tell you I am very happy with my purchase. Any concerns over the price faded long ago.

I don't understand how Weathertech says their digital fit liners won't work in models with the 4x4 floor shifter. I swear I've sat and studied those pictures on their web site and it sure looks like it would work. Anybody ever put the Weathertech Digital Fit liners in their truck with a floor mount 4x4 shifter successfully here?

Yep I have them in my GMT 800 and when i bought them it said right on the package will not fit with floor mounted 4*4. They fit perfectly and does not interfere with the shifter so i says it Bull .

    • Hi, New here.  2026 Denali HD.  Just purchased 7/2/26. I am having the same issue.  I just traded in my 2024 AT4, and the truck connected to bluetooth and Android Auto Immediately!  Now, with the new HD, it connects when it wants to, which is usually not at all.  I have to use the usb-c cable to get it to connect.  Bluetooth won't even connect without the AA. Now after saying all that, I'll take a 20 min drive with the phone plugged in.  Stop at a store, restaurant, etc....  Get back in my truck and DO NOT plug the phone in.  The truck then decides at this point, lets connect BT & AA and work perfectly, ie how it should.   I have deleted (forget phone) the phone multiple times.  I guess I'll just get used to plugging it in every time. even though I don't think its good for the phone battery to have it on charge after it hits 100%. I have searched all over.  No one else seemed to be having this issue, until I read this thread today.   thanks for reading.
    • I have an issue with my ignition hanging and I have to tilt the steering wheel to get in the off position. I have used a great key lock spray and it doesn't help resolve the issue. Is this an ignition assembly issue or something else. If anyone has a past experience with this please advise.   Thanks  Heath
    • This is a terrible GM warranty experience, two months waiting for a covered engine swap with no loaner or timeline is not allowed under GM’s courtesy transport policy.Escalate straight past regular support to a GM executive case manager, document every closed service ticket and dealer repair paperwork. File a complaint with NHTSA to force faster action, and ask for daily rental reimbursement while your truck is down. If it’s been out of service over 30 days, your state lemon law may let you pursue a full vehicle buyback.
    • 198°F isn't unusually hot for an 8L90, so I don't think temperature alone caused the issue. Since everything returned to normal after the truck sat for several days, I'd be looking at an intermittent electronic or hydraulic control problem before assuming the transmission itself has failed. The first thing I'd do is scan the Transmission Control Module (TCM), not just the ECM. GM transmissions can store manufacturer-specific or history codes that won't trigger a check engine light. I'd check: TCM history and pending DTCs Commanded vs. actual gear Line pressure Shift solenoid status Torque converter clutch (TCC) slip Transmission fluid temperature If it happens again, try to capture the data before cycling the ignition, since some intermittent faults disappear after a restart. A professional scan tool that supports full GM transmission diagnostics makes this much easier. For example, the Foxwell NT809BT can access the TCM, read manufacturer-specific transmission codes, and display live transmission data that's not available on a basic OBD-II reader: https://www.foxwelldiag.com/products/foxwell-nt809bt Hopefully it's just an intermittent control issue, but I'd definitely pull the TCM data before replacing any parts.
