Wt Radio Replacement?

Hello, all. I've tried searching and have come up empty. I'm looking at replacing my factory AM/FM Work Truck radio with an up-level radio. However, I remember hearing something about the Work Truck not having an amp, and all the rest having an amp, causing low audio level. I'm looking at this radio:

This thread references teaching it to account for not having an amp:

My question is, will the radio work in my 2010 Sierra WT? (I know it is silver, not a problem). Thanks in advance.

I didn't look too deeply into the product information but really the only time an external amp is used is with a radio used in the Bose system...otherwise the dash unit has an internal amp.

I put a bose radio into a non bose truck. All they did was reset the theftlock and reprogram the sound sytem ID's in the radio so the radio would supply the correct output to the speakers.

If they do not reprogram the ID's then a bose radio will sound muffled in a non bose vehicle.

Does anyone know what I specifically need to tell the dealer so that I make sure they program the speaker package correctly? I have the original 4-Speaker Work Truck setup with the two in the door and the two behind the head of the driver (Regular Cab). Is this a RPO code that they should be referencing and inputting when they program it? I know they know how to unlock the TheftLock system on it, but I am pretty sure I'm going to have to tell them what they need to look for to program the speaker package. The seller on eBay sent me the wrong CD Player, and accidentally gave me a 6-Disc changer instead of just the Single-Disc player (I'm not complaining :)) however from what I read, this only came with the Bose system, so they will definitely have to program this for the speaker package since I don't have the factory amp. I plugged it in and it came on just fine and the mounting holes lined up, it said Locked, so I'm pretty sure it will work just fine in the truck once programmed. Thanks a ton in advance for whoever can help.

I know my radio RPO is UM7, but I don't see an RPO on my build sheet for speakers, and Compnine doesn't have my 2010 in the database yet. Is there a separate RPO for the speaker package? I'd have to assume there is...

Yes, there is a seperate rpo for your speaker package.

Well, they couldn't install this CD Player. It was a 6-CD Changer, part number 25920405. They said the only thing that the system would let them program for a 2010 was 20918430 (the new 6-CD Changer), 25942015 (CD Player), 20939999 (CD Player with DVD Player for Rear Monitor), or 20934592 (CD Player w/ USB). They tried selecting the new 6-CD part number with my item, but it wouldn't take the programming. Gonna have to look for one of these...
