2001 2500hd 6.0 Oil is dripping out of the torque converter dust cover, or w.e u call it. It bolts into the bellhousing. Does this mean i have a bad rear main seal? or are there any other possible leak points near by. Oil pressure sending unit etc. ? Thanks in advance

I had a similar oil leak in my '95 Nissan V6 pickup. It was the rear main oil seal. Cost me 1,200 to fix because the oil also ruined the clutch disc.

its ur crank seal dude. it will be pricy to fix. is it really cold where you live?? if so it was probly caused by a frozen crank breather line. that happened to me last year in -45C temps but i was lucky it just popped the dipstick and spewed oil out all over. the place. rear crank seal will be pricy to fix but at least you nipped it in the butt, never did any more damage.

Coldest its ever gotten here was -20* F. Im very mechanically inclines so come spring ill have to weigh out my options. As for now, Ill just keep adding oil to get me through the rest of the plow season.
