Have a shock question for all of us with a L9H/NHT package. I have the regular 4x4, so no Z71. 67K on it. Wondering what you guys have done for shock upgrades (no lift no leveling). Fox? Bilstein? Very interested in what the ride was like after the change from stock/factory shocks.

I don't have that package, but I will say I HIGHLY recommend Bilstein. Got them on my Silverado 1500, and our old Grand Marquis. The biggest difference I noted in both vehicles after installing them was over "G-out" bumps (picture a depression in the road, like a backwards speed bump, only 4x wider - like whoops off-road). Hitting those types of bumps at speed with the stock suspension would upset the chassis in both vehicles (especially the Marquis - it would porpoise like a pogo-stick). The Bilsteins soak that stuff up so much you hardly even notice. I can even fly over tall speed bumps at 10mph without it slamming the truck like it would before. There was some slight improvement in cornering attitude as well. In the Silverado I didn't notice much difference over slow speed smaller bumps OEM vs. Bilstein - you really notice the change over the big stuff. Lifetime warranty too. Just my .02.

Hello All

Can some one please tell me what fuel pressure the pump holds or generates?

I am thinking of adding additional weldon racing fuel pump but before i do it i want to know what is the capability of the stock fuel pump?

Also is it internal in the tank or outside?

I have only read through the first pages so far, but I see mention of running the 6.2L against other trucks. My truck is stock and has 3.42's. I ran a F150 with 5.4L and we were side by side until I hit third gear. And I had about the same results against a 2015 Silverado 5.3L.

No mods to trucks. Mine is 2011 Crew Z71 6.2L. 2015 GMC Crew Z71 with 5.3L. Ford is 2009 or older with 5.4L, 4x4, ext. cab.

The 5.4L is a dog. Were you having an off day? You should have walked him off the line.

Which transmission is installed in my GMC Sierra Denali 2008 ?

Guess it's time for some upgrades

Are you sure your truck has a 6.2L in it? You should not need any mods to beat a 5.4L and you should have pulled away right from the start.

Yep. 6.2L. Now you have me concerned. I bought it used with 50k miles. It does sound like it has a slight exhaust leak (manifold gasket) when I first crank it.

As far as my 6.2L, is there anything I should check concerning power? An older friend said it sounded like it may have a slight skip, but I think he may have heard the exhaust leak instead. Anyway, I will replace the plugs, but anything else?

Also I notices I am missing a screw for the airbox lid. Is this a dealer only item? It looks almost like a wood screw with a collar near the head.
