Tow Mirrors

I have an 08 2500 silverado that i just installed a set of tow mirrors on and had the original oval mirrors before. The problem is that my memory seat and mirror recall buttons do not work now. It will not let me program a new setting when i press and hold. When i hit the button the mirrors end up turning up and in. Operations of the mirrors work fine without any issues. I just can not use the memory recall buttons. Is there a fix for this?

 

I believe i have the DL3 code in my glove box. If you have any questions let me know.

You have to get a reprogram with a Tech-II done at the dealer to get the memory functions working again. I had the same issue, I also replaced my DL3's.

 

Keep in mind as well, the trailer mirrors DON'T adjust with the memory settings now (Just the seat position and pedals) and they don't auto-fold. I asked if it was possible, and they stated that the tow mirrors were not designed to accept memory positions. I found it hard to believe, but after checking some sources, and apparently its true. I can't see the technology being that much different in the power controls for the DL3s compared to the DPNs, but who knows.

Ok so its not possible at all to make the tow mirrors work with the memory seat recall switch. thanks for the input

The signals, heat and power controls work. It just won't remember mirror positions.

Ask anyone that have those mirrors and memory switches from the factory. I think it's ridiculous.

Does anybody have the PN for the power tow mirrors? I want to switch out my DL3's for the tow mirrors.
