Installed the Z71 emblem for my grille. I like it, just not sure how I like it with the light bar. Kind of busy at the front now.

I think it will look better on the upper grill mesh, right corner If you're feeling real bold, center it on the bow-tie.

Honestly no they don't here... these new ones are pretty worthless used as an employee of mine just bought a low mile 2014 Silverado.... and its about the same dollar as a comparable Ford truck. The one that holds its value is the Yota by far. But we shall see.. I have 2 comparable trucks I am eying and am in no hurry to buy.

It was hot driving through Needles, CA today.

I have an injector going bad..or is it just the heat? Good thing got down pulling this morning.

#4 balance rate is peaking over 7 driving. Went over 6 a few times.

Now that's it cooler not going over 4.

Ignore the flat tire 2 wheels aren't programed to truck.

I stare at that stupid yellow light all winter long too.

Just like the damn key-in-ignition dingers - how about ONE alert ONE time to let us know, instead of a non-stop barrage of lights and annoyance that make me want to beat the truck with a friggin sledgehammer??!!!?? :banghead:

At least Ford toned down that dinger with the little music jingle they've got there.

What do those balance rate #'s represent? A percentage ± ?

I think it's percent +-. Truck throws dreaded PO087 code low rail pressure while pulling. Wants me to change fuel filter after its already been changed.

At least it's only been once a day for the last week while under load.

Seems to do this when truck is hot. 220 on coolant. The fuel temp is getting to over 200 also.

Maybe the fuel pump is heating up and slowing down? Never know. I'd bet they designed it so that the smallest change in viscosity of the fuel will cause all kinds of issues, so people won't run home-brewed fuel like they used to. Definitely no motor oil / unleaded in these new ones anymore ...

Good info there - thanks. I'm constantly learning all the quirks of modern vehicles. Always something!

All day highway with a 8300 pound truck. Does even better with 235s on the 2500. 265s are on now.

My dually can pull 18mpg highway if kept at 65 mph. Normally only 13 mpg around town.

Diesel is a different animal, especially when compared to the ethanol-diluted crap they force on us. Alot less BTU's in a gallon of gasoline vs. a gallon of diesel.

I get between 15-16 running around town. Highway is the same. If I leave the state, it goes up around 18. Out in WY & NV I was getting 19 mpg with a motorcycle in back, all my camping gear, tools, and a passenger, doing 90 mph. Could've been due to the high elevation lean-out, but there's no question the fuel is better outside of New England.

Idk. That new 6.2 sounds impressive. The FED has really choked the benefits of newer diesel engines.

Yeah, I'd never buy one built after '08 personally.

I guess I'm doing it wrong then. Oh well 14ish at 70-90mph still beats my '06 not being able to hit 15 @ 55mph. I think i get 14 normal driving but I work nights so no traffic to contend with. Edited by Chevyguy85
