Have done that all the time. Damn car eats brakes like there's no tomorrow, probably because the rear drums seem to do nothing. Put the slotted/drilled rotors on with semi-metallic pads and haven't had a problem yet. Been over 20k miles now. Even went from 16" to 18" rims in that time frame. I only got around 12k miles out of the stock brakes before they shook the hell out of the car.

Most passenger vehicles tend to have the front brakes do more of the braking vs the rear. I heard 70% front, 30% rear.

Yea I know. These seem even less efficient than that.

Even when you brought it back to the dealer for warranty? They use those torque rods and they're worthless. If I brought a car to the dealer I always brought my torque ratchet just in case they had to take a wheel off.

One time, but that was after I put the new brakes on and haven't had any trouble with them yet. The stock front brakes on the Cruze are just garbage, almost everyone on the Cruze forums has the same issue with them.

Par for the course today.

They always find somewhere to cut corners. Brakes should be the LAST place to try and save a buck, but it's the 21st century - if a fraction of a tenth of a cent can be saved, they'll do it, regardless of the system. :nonod:

The S-series pickups and especially the Blazer/Jimmy/Bravada used to eat front brakes, and ball joints, at alarming rates.

Work has begun

New headlight support and Denali parking light on the left. Waiting for USPS to deliver the right support so I can do that side. Bumper comes tomorrow, braces Friday and Tuesday, grille by Tuesday.

Thanks man! I actually have to email Dick Cepek, one wheel is a tad darker than the others. Separate batches I suppose, not sure if they'll do anything about it
