Rotated the tires and changed the rear shocks. It rides a lot smoother now.

Brought this little jewel home yesterday from an auction. Picked it up for $325. Less that half price new and old enough it still has cast iron transmission.

Nice little unit there. Those are easier to operate than the older Horse models. The Horse is built like a brick sh*thouse though - virtually indestructible. I've fixed a couple of them for people over the last 2 years.

 

 

Both posts are right up my alley - I work on outdoor power equipment of all types. Trying to get away from cars and their damn computers ...

They don't make them like they used to. When I was a kid I was mowing the lawn and out back the grass was tall and covering a small stump. Stopped the blade dead and ripped the mower from my hands and spun it like 90 degrees. Worked it free and kept going for years.

Drove the truck to Savannah Ga for a weekend getaway with the little lady and found out parking garages aren't for lifted trucks, antenna hit every pipe and sign and beam with 2 inches to spare for my sat antenna and somehow ended up with an arm tattoo and no alcohol was not involved.

Took my truck to Atlanta. Got solid 12 mpg on the 4 hour drive over there. Got plenty of funny looks driving a lifted straight piped truck lol[emoji14]

 

Needless to say I don't ever want to go back there again. EVER

I'm not a big fan of cities myself - the farther I am away from them, the better.

 

 

Fun fun for me and my 75k mile Silverado today. Getting Moog upper control arms/ball joints, & hub bearings. Gotta get back out there. Time's a wastin' ...

Damn my 2011 had 73k when I traded it. Only stuff that I put into it besides mods was tires and a warranty repair on the TPS.

No, just the grass in the pic! It's a riding mower, Troy Bilt Bronco.

 

I guess the metal fatigued, almost 5 years old, probably had a manufacturing flaw. I've never hit anything big or strong with it, just the occasional stick and lava rock from the flower bed!

Damn my 2011 had 73k when I traded it. Only stuff that I put into it besides mods was tires and a warranty repair on the TPS.

Lower ball joints were smoked at 38k. Milked it until 50k, then did that and a set of Bilsteins. When I checked both struts after they were swapped out, one of them was totally blown. This thing has been bucket of crap parts since day one. Only good part about it has been the engine ... and I'd better go knock on wood now. After this thing, I'm DONE buying new. Never again ...

 

 

Just finished the thing a half hour ago. Had about 200 interruptions between phone calls and people stopping by needing help with things, lunch, and eventually supper. Then figured I might as well throw the summer wheels on. LONG friggin day!

 

Hopefully I won't have to deal with this for at least another 10 years, since I now have greaseable ball joints.
