I topped off the oil yesterday, she was down about half a quart in almost 1,000 miles. I've been driving her a lot more lately... unfortunately.

I think this is one of 4 registered in all of New England.

The folks next door to me when I was a kid had one. It turned to dust by the end of the 90s.

How the heck did you get 42,000 miles out of your tires, I can barely get 25,000 out of mine before the wear bars show.

They still have 15k or so left in them. My pickup weighs 5500 pounds.

Shit, I get around 180,000 miles outta tires.

Coming back east across Wyoming on I 80 tonight. Reading to outside gauge, Down to 1 degree between Little America and Green River. Stopped at Rock Springs from the night. 9 degrees.

UGGH. I would never stay at anyplace in Wyoming other than Jackson & Star Valley. Spent too many nights at places like Green River, Rock Springs, Rawlings, Laramie, & Cheyenne from jobs in the past.. Laramie wasn't so bad, but couldn't stand the other places.. uggh.

I drove that whole stretch of I-80 Eastbound 15 years ago in a raging blizzard, in a '72 El Camino with tires that spent 10 years in the hot desert, towing an enclosed U-Haul trailer. White-knuckled all the way! Most stressful 12 hours of my life - that's how long that trip across WY took. Not 15 minutes after I had passed through, they closed the gates and shut the highway down!

Most I ever got out of a set of tires in my life was on the OEM Bridgestone Dueller A/T's on my Silverado - 34,000.
