Glad it's not a RED tag. :D

When I drove for WM, I got yanked by DOT and red-tagged on the spot! Had to have the boss pick me up.

When the trooper asks, "Do you mind if I use foul language?", in order to describe the condition of the front end, it's pretty bad.:lol::lol:

Put around 400+ miles on the truck over the weekend towing the trailer with our two bikes on it. Left it in 4th gear and let her eat. She screams but that's where these engines make that torque is 3k rpm's and above

Crossed 78k miles on the way home. Me and dad were talking about getting another trailer so we can haul a lot of other bikes too so it'd be a gooseneck, about 30 foot deck or so. Which would mean one of us getting a bigger truck, guess time will tell [emoji106]

Safety inspection - usually done when you stop at a weigh station, but they can yank you at any time rolling down the road.

Thanks, and yeah added 2 quarts before we hit the road as well. I don't get it, practically brand new truck and goes through that much between oil changes often

I'm just amazed that GM doesn't see this as a problem. You'd think they'd have fixed this by the '08 model year ... but they just made them worse. :nonod:

Maybe GM should stick to building gliders, and let the customers choose the driveline. I'd probably buy another GM again if that were the case! :)

Yup, passing inspection. Got run down last week also.

Cops are after those campers haulers going 62 mph on the interstate.

How did that quad handle the water?

Handled it fine besides the fact the belt started to slip, or the clutch went bad [emoji23] [emoji23]

Gonna clean it up today and tear it open, see what damage I did to the CVT system

Got my oil analysis back. The trend confirms my engine's decline began a couple years ago.

90k miles! THANKS GM! Nice F#%&ing job on that one!!:mad::mad:

The wear metals tell me it's more than likely the cam bearings - been seeing alot of those types of failures in these AFM engines across the net. Also piston rings add to the iron content, and pistons to the aluminum. Seems the aluminum content has gone down since I switched to 10w-30. Was high on my first analysis.

Glad I didn't use this thing to commute the entire 10 years I've owned it - would've needed an engine back in 2011!

How long you been running Amsoil SS in your truck?

Since it had 40k miles. Ran Royal Purple before that since it had 2,291 on the clock. Always changed that at 5k miles or sooner. Alot sooner than it needed to be, that's for sure.

Couldn't do any better maintenance. Treated this one the same, if not better, than my old school 350s I've owned in the past, and this modern junk hasn't even come close to the miles (or the severe beatings) those engines had on them. I was in my teens and twenties in those days - the pedal spent most of it's time planted in the carpet! This truck was babied by comparison. It's a friggin disgrace!

GM has forgotten how to build an engine in order to save themselves some money. Maybe if they built the shit right the first go-around, there wouldn't be any money problems? HMMM! What a concept!!

You might have just got some water in the CVT cover. Just take that plastic drain plug out (see if any water comes out), then fire it up, and hold it at 3k or so for a couple minutes - that should dry everything out in there.
